    Bumpty bump.

Wilson Pickett & Duane Allman covering Hey Jude:

Aretha Franklin & Duane Allman covering The Weight is pretty phenomenal too, although so is the original...

And I don't know if this is necessarily better, but definitely a unique twist on a classic:

In no certain terms is this version, per se, better than the Beatles' original, but I supremely dig how 801 took a psychedelic masterpiece and flipped it into a raging prog-jazz fluctuation of rhythmic overload that pulses and undulates with crackling verve and raw kineticism.

Its hard to pick the right show but most any Loving Cup - The Phish from Vt. It seems to work best when Page takes shit over.

Ween cover Roses are Free - The Phish from Vt.

People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

Just ran into this youtube series by the AV Club that has a bunch of bands playing covers that are pretty good.

    Punch Brothers covering The Cars

Not better, but interesting GWAR covering Kansas

Most people don't realize that the Ramones were one of the best cover bands ever. They did a shitload of them. And they're all really good imo.

One of the greatest cover bands ever, they turned them all into Ramones songs.
