An honest 2ft. of new at top of Collins this morning. Steep slope angles needed to get enough speed with 110mm under foot.

    Amazing morning.

Sure you can use the photo. The other is mine also. I have a bunch of aerial recon photos, I tried to post the best of them in the fall, but it was the first thread I tried to start and didn't go through for some reason. I'll get more up some time.

Like these two; in case you want to do some mellow east facing corn skiing this spring, or some serious mountaineering in the land of the dancing sun.

Didn't want to tell people I skied Fred's Trees/Collins Liftline to keep it safe. I was fun though.

    110? your L120's finally dead?
Closer to 18" top o Claytons cept for a few deeper hollow sensitive ridgetop windslabs. Rain snow line about argenta/cardiff.
Pretty easy to start slow moving pushalanches on steeper slopes
Pretty deserted in the b double c
Lower elavation and S facing starting to melt off but Nfacing upper elavation still holdin a pretty amazing late march snowpack.

ooops, 120 under foot. I'm not into the tech.

The DPS survived three seasons, still going strong. Should be good for a couple more years.

pretty good pow for mid may, probably say the same thing in mid june at this rate. Its fun when you can have great mid-winter tours and nobody is out. May is usually good for that. The snow was understandably swamped by the afternoon, top to bottom, but still a blast.

    No control last week.

    Updating the current plan:

UDOT will be conducting avalanche artillery work tomorrow May 20th. Please stay clear of all North side avalanche paths above the highway between 0600 and 0800.

Results from today's mid-canyon shoot: White Pine and little Pine to 3/4 track, White pine chute 1 to the apron. White pine 2,3,4 naturals to apron.

Skier triggered slide in the Emmas at ~1500; reported broken arm, self rescue to road.

    -Thanks
