    Classic.

I only looked for the mileage and at the pictures. I retract my previous statement.

I think you're pretty far off on your price. Seems to me you're lucky to get a running one with a lot of rust for that. Let alone low milage or not ready for for a new engine. Cool Vans but not built to take abuse, or go uphill. Case in point; I was just at the Hot Tomato in Fruita and a lady was peddling hers. 170K, some rust, running but likely in need of a new engine among other things, $13K.

Saw a Wesfalia Syncro with Subaru 3.0 engine up on Berthoud Pass. Looked nice. Too bad it was on a flatbed tow truck! Ha-ha!

This is a really cool truck. Now, I think this would be an AWESOME pow chasing mobile if you had a beefer frame for weight purposes, a 4bt or 6bt Cummins and put a hard side camper on it.

I contacted the people in CO with 4x4 E350, waiting to hear back.

Anyone here ever do a diesel ambulance to a RV? Did some interwebbing, look pretty cool. Worth it, good war wagon? Versatile enough, plusses, minuses?

Those things don't actually have much room on the inside compared to a box van, and they are incredibly heavy. Someone on here did one, there's a truck build thread in the PR right now that references it.

Ski RV's, who's sleeping in parking lots?

Big fan of the Safari/Astro, this is my second one. This one is RWD, getting hard to find these in New England.

+1 for the Astro. Love mine. Just got new shoes today, and looks like we got the same wheels ticketchecker. BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A K02's with Unique 297 Steel wheels. Can't wait to hit the dirt roads this spring and summer!

Still no reply to text or email. I noticed the posting's over 20 days old, bet it's gone. Running or not, that was a steal.

Loving the Astros guys, those are sweet rigs!

    Here's a Provan Astro...
How hard is it to do a AWD conversion if you have a donor vehicle for parts?

It is never "easy". Suspension and drivetrain parts are too heavy for one person to lift in my experience. Air tools are key and a lift is great to have.

If I had the time and skill I would be all over it. Here are just a few build threads that you can find over on EXPO.

i would say not worth it. quick downsides that come to mind-
-dually on snow/ice and offroad trails is no good.
-inside height is usually around 5'6''. may not be an issue if you're short.
    -insulation
    -no cabover
    -most likely not 4wd

89' Toyota Winnebago w/ 3.0L V6 5-Speed. I just took it from Jersey to the Cascades and back. I've taken this thing on some serious trips and it just keeps on ticking, and I've slept in ski area lots, rv parks and walmarts all over the country. The duallys do alright in snow up to about 8". I keep a set of chains just in case. I've had to use them a few times. Only bad part is that the 3.0L doesn't have much power. I have to leave it in 1st gear on steeper passes.

Some of you might have seen this around. It has spent a lot of time in Summit county. Two years ago it was stashed up on Ptarmigan for the season.

I think a lot of people set up temporary phone numbers and emails for craigs list. Once it's sold they stop checking them.
