Lol.
Currently gettin' fresh rubber on the new minivan. Slightly upsized Cooper Discover AT3 4S.
Then figuring out a small lift -- 2" strut spacer in front, thinking rear gets highlander struts (+1") and custom coils rated for slightly more weight and a bit of extra height. All told should give me ~2.5-3" of lift total which will put me just around or above a Subaru outback.
Not a rad rig. But it'll sleep in parking lots.
Testing the new tires on trip to Silverton today.

Just saw it parked in town this afternoon. Unfortunately it was sporting multiple Instagram handle stickers for the owner...

The Winningbago rides again. We're off for a few weeks of chasing powder in the PNW/BC. Say hi if you see us.

"brave" is aptly named.....i used to have one just like this as my office/sleep quarters back when I did some sewing in LA in like 2011 or so....i've never been more scared on an interstate in my entire life than rolling in one of these...you are a brave couple....seriously....i even quit taking it to the rv dump station for poop because of my fear of getting this thing on the open road...i can not even imagine what it would be like in the mountains and snow....like plywood on a hay cart...18 wheelers passing would almost bring the walls down...on another note...when just docked in a parking lot it slept really welll.,,,
mine had a giant eye painted on one side and was titled "tower 7" a la world trade center building .....bought from some grindcore band that had quit touring....i ended up tendering the title to the storage place in lieu of final few months storage ....i had paid 1500 for it...
ps that ladder is beyond funniez, awol bulbs in mass, billboard face for roof...luv backup camera ....total win !!www.freeridesystems.com

Haha. It's not too bad after I replaced the shocks, but I drove a series of VW vans for many years so maybe my meter is calibrated differently. With the 6.2L diesel it can manage 65 on the freeway and gets about 13mpg. It's surprisingly good in snow, and really rallies with chains.
Oh, and the roof is actually a solid sheet of EPDM that used to be on a building in downtown Crested Butte. I got it for free when we remodeled the place, and I put down 2"of rigid foam underneath it. The ladder... Yeah, I have no excuse for that, but it does work.

Got an estimate to add 4x4 to my e250 from Clydesdale this week, $15k plus any extras like bumpers etc. I am almost ready to pull the pin, even at that price I am still under 20k total invested for a full camper van with 65k km.
