You say plenty but so far Big Sky is all I know of. What other resorts allow white trash to congregate in their parking lot?

PNW is very camper friendly - a nice change from CA. I've seen em at Crystal, Stevens, and Baker. Mammoth stump alley in spring is a good bet too - not sure how formal the policy is (or isn't).

Is there no post in this glorious thread that is a master list of ski areas where on-site RV sleeping is (1) free, (2) paid but allowed, or (3) not allowed??

Mammoth you can camp down by the hotsprings. Get a snowpark pass and you can camp at the one up by SLT.

The RV park in Mammoth is reasonable $ and has indoor pool and spa, laundry, showers, etc. Worth it for a night here and there.

I saw that awhile back. It's been up more than one time. It really is a good deal if everything is what it says it is. That thing would be hella cheap and easy to fix also with run of the mill GMC parts ex. 350/700r4. If this was available before I bought my truck, I woulda bought it for sure.

Upon inspecting the Pinz that an aquaintence had- I was surprised to find it shared many parts with my Vanagon.

Realistically, what the hell is one supposed to do with the flip up sunroof/whatever you want to call it? I could of thought of about 2-3 other things to do with that roof, and an entire flip up roof would not of been one of them.

They were made in the same factory as the golf syncros too. http://bringatrailer.com/2015/05/12/...ry-syncro-4wd/ I saw two of these on my last trip to Europe, cool little things. I wish they'd built more

Did that acquaintance pick up the pinz from someone in Driggs or SLC in the last couple years?

They were hellish to keep on the road from what i heard, and very expensive to maintain, the reason why they got rid of them at the time.

I've never done any winter camping in my Eurovan, but here's a really clean looking on in Denver. Amazing the prices folks are asking for them these days. Bought mine in '08 for $18K with 60K miles on it.

1989 Vixen looks like a sweet ski rig and potential auction snipe. Have to get it from Louisville though.

Prices on any camper-equipped van are insane, esp in the Denver area. But doing it yourself is typically just as pricey (and finish hard to match a factory.)

I can't believe there isn't a market out there for a modern version of these things to be produced. I'd be in line for a factory-produced Transit-based camper.
