Accommodation is only part of the issue. The other part is price. In Canada $175,000 will get you a nice three season Sprinter RV. (you won't find a used one). $30,00 to $50,000 will get you a top of the line, used but in good shape Bigfoot or Triple E that can handle -25c. The gas mileage is worse but how much fuel can you buy for $125,000?

-25c capable units are a lot less prevalent south of the boarder, unfortunately.

No motor in my little sin bin, but the pickup truck that hauls it cost me a hell of a lot less than $97,500.
It was pissing rain with temps in the high 30s. You're right, drinking beer outside that night was clearly the better option. It undoubtedly would've been 91% more obvious to us at the time if there was only 2 of us, but I still don't get the $100,000 van thing.

Here's one for $80k, and it for sure would seat 3 comfortably for beers
https://reno.craigslist.org/rvs/d/ze...534868440.html
also it should be noted that a new Ram 2500 4wd long box is gonna set you back between $60-$85k and a new Bigfoot 2500 is gonna run about the same.
and here's another chinook, a 1972 for $47k (just cause it was on the same CL page).

There’s always a curiosity for how others spend their own money.

I'm very curious how others drink beer with two other men as I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly.

This thing is for sale - and totally amazing.
Did however find a Chinook that's much more local - going to see if I can wrangle some flights to go and check it out next week if it's legit.

This seems perfect for a mag.
103k miles, diesel, heater, solar and a decently built out interior. But a salvaged title. If you are handy is think this could rock. Obviously need an inspection first.

Saw and heard this monster at Bodega Bay last week, but never saw driver to ask mileage and weight, and if they'd been to Burning Man. Note Ontario plates and chainsaw on front drivers-side fender.
Also heavy, but https://sacramento.craigslist.org/rv...533931916.html seems like a good deal.

This seems like a pretty good buy, I'd probably jump on it if I wasn't a #vanlife guy now.

Anyone want a free mattress of sorts? It's the pad that came with our travel trailer - a 2020 model we bought this summer, but minimal use, so the pad looks basically new. No smells.
It's a standard household queen size, 60 * 80", approx 3" thick, don't know what it's made of - no coils inside, doesn't really feel like memory foam. Very foldable - think "soft futon pad" and that's about right. We slept on it one night with a 2" memory foam topper on top, and that was OK, not great. Brown cover unzips.
Picked up a real mattress and put that in the trailer to replace this pad.
Thought someone here might want the pad for a vanlife or truck shell build. PM if you want it, free. Located near Reno NV.
