Ah, interesting. Didn't know that. Suppose a similar process could work but you do lose an inch or two of space with my method. Flat floor for me was worth it as I keep the middle row out 95% of the time.

Very. I started with the 90s on that piece but I got a little too cute with my dimensions and the drawers would rub if they weren’t perfectly set up. My mistakes were expensive using 8020. My jaw dropped when I added it all up…but it was a fun project and all in for my entire setup shown (van, repairs, wheels, and tires included) is about 10k.

^^ those drawers are slick. I see some pocket holes but what did you line the edges with? Finish is nice

Birch edge banding. Painted the unsightly side of plywood with leftover living room paint. Coated with poly.

Is it even an Astro Van if it doesn't have astro turf?

No matter what side of the Astro camp you are on, I think we can all agree that there isn't one on the planet worth $35k.

you don't know that. He said everything is included. There could be $34k in that cooler.

I'd consider a mint condition tiger with modern updates, and an S-10 diff swap for true 4x4 as potentially worth 35k.

    That one? Hell no.

They'd rather buy something nicer and newer for a lot more money.

I went up to look and decided to pass with extreme prejudice. Lots of fiberglass damage on the exterior. Would have been a major project; likely just right for someone out there. Super cool guy selling.

Is there a place/places where people mostly watch for these kinda rigs these days where it's easy to get a national picture? I'm a year or two out from purchase but want to just learn market more for used ski/camp rigs. Most likely van platform but open to others. Probably like...a 40-60k budget. If there are truck platforms than can take a hard side slide in and get similar MPG to a van....interested in those as well.

While we dig our Sienna, my new gig may allow/encourage being in the mtns 3-4 days a week for most of winter season. Buying is probably a bigger commitment than we're ready to make (not to mention the ethical dilemma of contributing to the mess of the housing situation in mtn towns.) But more head room, insulation, furnance, more space would be nice.

Expedition Portal used to be my go-to but has mostly jumped the shark these days for $$$. I'd say keep an eye on CL and Facebook Marketplace, we're in a good location to see a lot of listings. There are a couple FB groups such as "Class B Campers for Sale" that give you a national picture but everyone out there is just trying to find the market ceiling right now IMO.

Ms. juanrogera and I operated a mountain bike shuttle for a few years and are now closing our doors, leaving us with a Nissan NV3500HD 2WD 12-passenger van. This thread has us debating whether we should sell the van as-is to a #vanlife bro to retrofit, built it out ourselves to use, or build it out and sell it... unfortunately it's the standard height and not the hi-top NV3500.
