Nice Trackhead. Crazy amount of limestone climbing around the Helena area. Check out Blue Cloud Spires too for some good moderate granite in a nice setting with good camping.

Similar story, was my main focus for many years before I had kids. Also check out the Humbug Spires near Butte, awesome clean white granite and good camping, as well as easy backpacking/climbing options. Most of my hardcore climbing years were spent in Missoula climbing in the Bitterroots. That's the best cragging in Montana IMO.

Idyllic pics.
Revenue flats is dispersed camping with easy short climbs. Worthy of checking out at least once.

Yeah I’ve climbed all over the state back in early 90s when I lived in Bozeman. Wanted to drag family up the Wedge maybe next summer. Kid needs to age a bit first. I used to live in Hyalite whenever chemistry lab was occurring. We were climbing up there long before the road was plowed. I’m quite old. Blodgett is awesome but those days are behind me.

My Sterling DC-DC charger/isolater may have come to an untimely end. Anybody using Renogy's product? Others they like?

Ski RV's, who's sleeping in parking lots?
If you’re considering adding any solar, the CTEK D250SE is the gold standard charger and automatically will control up to 300watts of 12v solar without needing a separate controller.
But I’ve heard good reports from Renogy. The 20a model they have is certainly hard to beat for price.

I upgraded quite a bit since I got the itch a couple of months ago. Finding truck campers is a total PITA. Anyone have any experience with adventurer truck campers?

Adventurer is mediocre quality- 3 or 4 out of 10. Pretty much the cheapest construction you can get. Ok for three season but poor for winter. Fraserway RV may have x rentals for sale especially in the Fall. Cruise America has Lance 650s for sale. Bigfoot and Northern Lite are $$$ and heavy and something in between can be hard to find. Westland RV is a local small manufacturer in Penticton aiming at the medium price, medium quality, medium weight market.

Yeah there’s tons of lances for sale for like 20k. That’s kind of an absurd amount for a camper IMO.

I lived in that camper for several months when I lived in AK. Border was closed, I lived in Juneau, flew up to Anchorage and rented same camper several times. Drove it all over AK, dirt roads, etc. Probably have 2,000 miles and 60 nights in that rig. Nice camper, not a fan of the bed/storage arrangement, but other than that, no big complaints. Typical truck camper.

I have renogy price seemed ok for the product and it seems easier to use install and set up for someone who has challenges with anything electronic or computer like some people can really get excited about all the bells and whistles and like watching all the numbers I am not one of them
upgraded my system this weekend to the 30amp rover controller from the adventurer controller, also finally threw down for a nice set of lithium batteries (long story) my panels are are renogy and my 2000w inverter happly ran a grinder this weekend as well as other power tools
I also bought a display screen for the batteries/system and it wont' work but I think that's more of me than the product but who knows
defiantly was torn for months between the battle born batteries and the renogy batteries just went with renogy cause they were 100 cheaper maybe and it was all the same brand/system although battle born claims their batteries will last another 1000 charges or something
I have 750w inverter for sale and adventurer controller I'll let go cheap, inverter was installed for a month before I realized it wouldn't run circular saw

I have one. 89rb. It's great. I've had it for just over a year. Living in Alberta i use it all winter camping, been to Ontario last year with it. Just completed a road trip up to BC, Alaska and Yukon. Table is big enough for three adults. Bathroom makes a good storage and drying room.
Had several nights at minus 20 Celsius and yeah you get some condensation build up in spots but you will in anything.
Like any camper I've had to fiddle with the sail switch for the furnace. Water pump line was linked, installed a solar panel.
Probably have close to 90 nights in it since last February between road trips. Skiing, biking. Hunting. Etc.
Great family unit and convenient. Have a long box truck coming and skiing the short box since this thing gets used so much and it just lives on the truck.
