Not sure on the year but there was a newer Tiger on a lifted F350 super duty on CL recently. $130K. I actually considered it but chickened out. That’s probably my dream setup (but I’d prefer Chevy).

Here’s a similar but not lifted one:

Looking at the stats and price on that, and owning a northern lite with a newer f350, I don't really understand this at 130k. Cool rigs for sure, but for 130k, it better be a new quad cab with a human sized pass thru. Even then I really like reserving the right to use the truck as a truck. Maybe that lower COG would change my religion, who knows.

Never understood the appeal of those types of vehicles.

I mean, $100k gets you a really nice truck and camper combo. What advantage does a 7 year old truck for $30k get you.

This would be an awesome base to throw a camper on.

I’ve been looking at a setup similar to yours too. The pass through would definitely be nice. This being a package deal, and knowing the quality of the Tiger builds is a plus.

I agree $130 is steep, also why I didn’t purchase. Alternatively, this is about the price of a new built out Sprinter and far more useful for what I want to do.

We decided to go low budget for another summer though and just bought a moto trailer with a RTT. Just don’t have enough time off to justify that kind of price tag yet. Maybe in a year or two when the impending Sprinter apocalypse hits because companies learn that WFH isn’t sustainable. Who knows?

thanks for the link. I have been thinking about similar. Am looking at this https://www.marandacap.com/v-335eng
not sure if the ceiling in the overhang is tall enough. It is 10" shorter than the Total Composite. They need to make these with a compartment to hold a propane bottle.

You are supposed to store propane on the outside, east enough to just mount a bracket.

I don't think that price is current. I'm seeing $16K on their website.

There are some photos of one with a finished interior here: https://expeditionportal.com/forum/t...219296/page-12. They say they will be offering complete package buildouts later.

FWIW, this looks like a pretty awesome price for a composite shell camper. The insulation factor is much better than an aluminum framed camper like a Fourwheel. There is no thermal transfer because there is no metal. Custom composite shells are usually 3X that price.

A FWC shell is $13K currently, so $16K for a composite (lighter) slide-in shell seems pretty competitive.

    An OVRLND is about $10K.
"Holy Cow!" someone exclaimed from the back of the stationwagon.

i will have to figure out price and how much interior space I lose. Maybe go with a bracket with a lock and chain.

Idk mate that thing is darn ugly. And a thin layer of composite isn’t really doing much insulating either. Definitely air tight though. Could not be the case for my bus hahaha Click image for larger version.

I've always wondered why someone didn't make a 1 piece molded truck camper.

Seemed everyone we had growing up eventually developed roof leaks along the seam.

I'm just not ballsy/stupid enough to venmo a stranger $1000 and then drive 10 hours to see the camper in person.

And now you understand #vanlife. One piece metal box.

Unless you get a Sprinter and have to install fiberglass flares so you can sleep crosswise.
