This is a great format. I wish there were more choices in this category. What a cool rig.

Any problems with diesel trucks parking at ski areas where the overnight low could be sub-zero?

    Thanks guys!
I feel fortunate to have come across this little rig.
The guy who had it prior to me set it up pretty well.
I need to do a few things myself to really make it Winter friendly, but it's pretty good the way it stands.

Gary, not looking good for this season unfortunately, will look ahead to the next however.

You can set them up with what I think is known as hydronic heat, which basically circulates heated fluid through the engine via the heater in the cabin. Supposed to work pretty good. Otherwise, I know people who run a quiet generator (Honda) so they can plug in the block heater.

Does anyone have any experience sleeping in the back of a nissan Pathfinder? I am thinking of picking one up soon and converting it with a small deck in the back for sleeping in.

Nothing luxury, just one nighters but wan't to be able to lie down flat in the back with the lady. I am only 5'9 but.....

I've spent numerous nights in the back of my pathfinder and plan to spend many more back there. It is quite comfortable, I too have a deck equipped with a few foam mattress pads. Mine were spet solo, and I am a bit over 6'2. I slept slightly diagonally as to fully extend. At your height, you can probably sleep lengthwise no problem with 2.

Haha I wish, friend of the in-laws family. That thing runs for over $300k, completely self sufficient minus gas for the ford f550. Solar panels, and the control board is designed by NASA. You would not believe the features that thing has. I was completely blown away.

Me and some friends are going to USA and Canada around new years eve for skiing, and we will probably rent an rv.

But, how does it work? Do you park the car at the parking lot by the slopes, or do you need to check in at campgrounds many miles away from the resort?

Also, do you recommend renting an RV, or rent a car and stay at hostels and motels? (We´re planning to follow the snow and good conditions)

Tell me if i should post it anywhere else.

    Thanks,
