It's hard to virtue if you don't signal. At least so strangers know you care.

Once again you guys show you have no idea what POW is about. Itís cringy how often POW is made fun of or criticized on this board. Iím not a member but I know that owning a big vehicle does not go against their mission or philosophy.

Like it's some kind of nuanced High brow ideology? Owning and operating more vehicle than you need is definitely antithetical to the goals espoused by climate advocates, Even if their main target is public policy. If not antithetical, at least hypocritical.

Hey, I have a POW sticker on a water bottle and dig what they do. I didnít put it on my one ton diesel camper van that I own solely for recreation...seemed a little insensitive at best and that Iím a tone deaf asshole at worst...I donít need any help pointing out either.

POW helps passionate outdoor people protect the places and lifestyles they love from climate change.
I have been looking for a ďThis machine kills hippiesĒ sticker for my van so if you know where I can pick one up Iíd appreciate the lead.

To their credit the Sprinters do get pretty damn good gas mileage (20+) and the newer DEF ones do have lower emissions than many vehicles. So if two people are living in a Sprinter, their carbon footprint is probably less than two adults living in a SFH and commuting to work in separate vehicles every day like most of America.

But Iíd not put a POW sticker on any vehicle personally.

No, not really nuanced to me.

People who use re-usable bottles are virtue signaling as that has a negative climate impact when in production. The cherry on top is a POW sticker on one. I convert naturally hollow bamboo sticks to collect and drink my water.

With that price point, does he prefer something newer with about 250K miles or a lower mileage van from before 1995?

I am surprised I can't find a 'This Machine kills hippies' sticker, shirt or anything. Sorry no leads from me on that.

But I did find and pick up these shirts for me and the wife! Pretty cute.

    Woosh.

While you're at it why don't you share with the group how your ascending colon smells? See any polyps up there?

No douche-woosh needed. I don't want to play pedantic patty cake with you, or anyone really on what qualifies as hypocritical, what doesn't, based on some random dude with a sticker that drives by us in a certain type of vehicle that is not powered by granola and that a person I will never meet or know.

I feel bad for your wife

    question?
if someone puts a "one less sprinter" sticker on a sprinter is that ok? does that work? does it cancel out the fact that they are driving a sprinter? asking for a friend

Based on the picture, which is all we have, how do you know that's more vehicle than they need?

    It's all very confusing...

Some younger folks that I talk to express that buying a $1mil+ house is out of reach so a $200k van and working remotely is their viable option.

Other folks have a $200k van parked at their $1mil+ house bought with fuck you money.

Never can tell until you meet them on the road. Most seem nice. Shrug

Yup. Some are nice, some are assholes. Which almost makes it seem like Sprinter ownership isn't the deciding factor.

yeah judging people is what we are all good at
judge people by their stickers what kind of house they live in and what kind of sprinter they drive
i'd might trade my van with someone for things other people have that I don't, maybe, then some of the things I want aren't tangible items that you buy to make yourself feel good

somepeople think I'm an asshole some people think I'm a good guy

do I care what people think? no
