Shortening BD Traverse Poles
So I searched around but couldn't find any other info to see if anyone has looked at trimming the Traverse poles. I bought a set for touring with a splitboard and would ideally like to have them a little shorter when attached to my pack so they don't stick up so much. I would probably trim the lower section so it can slide up and compact further. There is a plug at the top of the lower section and was wondering if there were any forseen problems not press-fitting the plug back in? Good plan? I can provide pictures if needed. Thanks.

i think it'd be fine, probably take the plug out though and pop it in the shorter cut pole, i bet it adds some structural strength. i had em last year and will probly get em again, definitely an awesome pole for the price. don't see any reason that wouldn't work.

Having replaced plugs and fucked around with BD poles in the past, I'd sell the Traverse's and buy a pair of Expeditions and save yourself the pain in the ass
