That Dynastar rider looks like fun.
And a single ski? Must have mad skillz.

The other day, I was telling my kid, "Back when I was in elementary school, we were learning metric b/c 'we're all going to have to switch over at some point.'" That was ~1980...I'm still waiting.*
*Lest anyone get the wrong idea, I'm 100% on board for anything that makes my life easier...and counting by ten is easier than...well...whatever the fuck we count by now.It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.
I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

We had packaging machines that were a modified German machine. Everything that the Cincinnati engineers added was SAE. We had blue ionized Metric bolts for the old sections, for a quick identification.
Any measurements for modifications to the old section, that fit perfectly as Metric, were converted to SAE before rollout across the country. That 20mm location would get a 25/32” part manufactured.
Then the engineers would complain that our modification would not work.

LOL if we used metric I wouldn't have cut a $1,000 stick at 138" instead of 13-8". Took me half a day to ruin that board, too.

I suppose saying I'm 18.5 cm sounds more impressive then 7 1/4 inches.

I don't know, I'm in manufacturing in Canada and always switch metric back to freedom units cause I find it easier. 1570mm means nothing to me, 62 inches is far easier to wrap my head around.
And I grew up fully metric.
