Okay. Except that I didn't realize that Corolla was ever AWD... until right now (and the new Corolla AWD, like nearly all current Toyotas, is a well engineered mainstream appliance). That old Tercel, the one with a rear panel that looked like an ATM, yeah I guess that was a cult car of sorts; Jesse Pinkman drove one.
Just saying (originally): Montuk's funneh about what goshdarn odd birds Subaru owners are is decades out of date. The 5th gen Outback in the video is as much a somebody's-mom-mobile as anything else out there.

The AWD Corolla wagon ended in the early 90s and had a hudge cult of followers in VT keeping them running. The Tercels all rusted faster than the corollas. The popularity in VT at least was Yankee frugalness as the Toyotas were cheaper to maintain and lasted longer mechanically vs the Subarus.
