Super interesting, thanks for sharing. I've grown to find porn entirely boring in general so paying for what is so widely available for free is hard to comprehend, but more power to her. If I could get paid to play with my dong on a webcam I'd be all over it. The dudes sending "you're whore" DMs are obviously either trolling or projecting their own self-loathing.

Old man stories, eh?
Well, my dad thought we'd get in way less trouble driving an International Travelall as our first vehicle at 16. You certainly were not going to be out racing it. (My bros who are 6 years older than I had it first.)
Now that was a beast to roll start. Pick a hill. You're never going to push start it unless you've got a mob.
I can't even recall why we were roll-starting it in the first place. Bad starter? Bad battery? Something else?
It was like a tank though.

Fascinating. I dig it. Good on the both of you for finding such a thing that you can share.
Per the fucked up male-female promiscuity; I'd say it's more about our fucked up gender roles we foist upon men and women here in the west. I remember that while in college; I dated frequently, though never overlapped on girls. However, I was viewed as a player and any other related pejorative you could think of because I chose to find the right partner. Because this was conservative Montana, I guess dating - though never cheating - was viewed as a player. It's an example of our fucked up, puritanical views on gender roles and sexuality.

You have a much more positive association with incels than I do, though I hadn't thought about people in places like the middle east. To me I figure there's a difference between being in that state of celibacy and being a toxic piece of shit about it, making it part of your identity, and spreading the misery. Another good friend of mine would let me help choose the pictures she put into the world, but after she showed me the responses she got I decided that was as involved as I wanted to be. It seemed like an awful lot of hate and toxic messaging for someone making fairly vanilla porn and putting it out into world. And there was a ton of body image shaming on a level that bothered me. I don't mind excusing some of what goes on in places like this thread, with images copied from elsewhere, but it seemed like some of the people messaging her were relishing the fact that they could personally attack the woman in the pictures/clips.
Hopefully that's changed, but I'm skeptical. I'm glad that's not something your wife has to deal with.
I'm not sure where I stand about the consuming vs creating thing. I get what you're saying, and there's a lot of truth to it. But to me there's an issue with how/when women choose to get into it, there's a lot of pressure around youth and being 18-19 that seems like it makes it difficult to weigh options well. The women I knew who seemed most content with their choices decided to do this later, at 22-30.
I found the idea of dating women who were making porn interesting, then appealing, then less appealing. At the time though, I was in a stretch of years where I was working way too much and not dealing with it in healthy ways. So when I think back about those relationships I wonder if it was more both of us struggling with balancing life and work. At the same time, I prefer to be fairly private about lots of things and so I'm not sure if the issues would be the same. I suspect I would struggle to maintain a relationship with someone who was or wanted to be an online 'influencer'.

I would think the advertised 250 lb limit isn’t the point of failure.
There is a margin of safety built in I would hope. It might snap at 350-400 pounds.
Poor guy, if it was a deliberate fall that’s a shame.

IME with rigging the safety factor is often 5x.

Yup. Lots of bad decisions made by the employee. Rigging has a 5x safety factor beyond the working load limit, so he was fine hanging our there so long is the line doesn't get shock loaded. But why did he feel the need to latch onto her in the first place? He was on the receiving end and she went off the platform rolling back and would have stopped. She would have been fine out there on her own, so why clip into her in the first place? They have to have a basic retrieval system to get people that roll back from a platform.
And the dude should have been tied off for sure.Wait, how can we trust this guy^^^ He's clearly not DJSapp

I'm definitely not as enlightened as you. Fortunately for me nobody wants to pay to see a 60-year-old woman, not even a hot one like her, so as Jesse Jackson might say, the question is moot.

Many of you have already heard this most excellent Shatner version of Common People, but this TAS edit is just so perfect. An oldie, but a goodie:
