    Waldoboro Clam Queen
Growing up I spent as much time in Maine as I did in NY, About 5 years ago the neighboring town decided it needed a parade, they built a giant clam hod and had a bunch of events planned. One thing they wanted to have was a Clam Queen. They eventually had a Miss Waldoboro and a Blueberry Queen.

Seen this twice in my life so far, once in Santa Cruz in the crashing waves which was spectacular and in Vieques in mosquito bay. Paddled out into the bay at night on kayaks and went for a swim. Totally trippy, every motion triggered the little critters to glow, and the more motion, the more glow. Arms, legs, hands, wakes off the kayaks, fish in the water, everything.

Seeing dolphins on the bow shock in person would be amazing.

In Tomales Bay they have kayak tours and the bioluminescence is like watching pixie dust trail after every paddle stroke, rudder, or fish in the water.

It's pretty common in some of the bays around here in the summertime on still nights. I had never seen it living on the east coast, but take it for granted that I see it regularly.

We call Waldoboro the ugly town, mostly for the route 1 strip through town

We get it on the East coast, but never seen the blue color. More of a green

Take turns, no 69 or reverse cow-girl face sitting, so as to avoid brown eye on nose. Doggy style can also lead to sweat activated brown eye vapors. Requiring a shower first can eliminate funky odors and open up all events, including ass eating if that's your jam.

We raised our kids on Nantucket until they were about 12. Bioluminescence was a fairly steady thing at night in the summer. So fun to share it with young kids too.

Or if we were out fishing at night you could tell if a fish was chasing your lure from the bioluminescence. Good stuff.

I haven't been in the area in 20+ years, but I now that I think about it it was ugly back when I was a kid too, Harold C. Ralph's mobile homes, Mercury outboard dealer, grocery store, Lincoln Canoe's across the road on 32, and Moody's. We were in Nobleboro off East Pond rd.

We used to trip on acid at night sailing interisland in Hawaii and there'd be like six crew crammed into a single bunk stateroom to watch it swirl in the portholes.

Did several nights of bioluminescent bodysurfing in Carova in the Outer Banks about 13 years ago. No psychedelics involved, but it was awesome. It's all out there, just depends on the light pollution.

Used to do full moon laps of Loveland pass road too back in 1993. No sparks. Yes 210cm Kaestle SuperG skis -the white ones. 5G?

I spent a couple years commercial fishing in CA/OR back in 88-89. The boat’s prop would trigger the glowing now and then; it was like a blue flame trailing behind us. Really cool to watch.

    Too soon?
I think Kim Jong Un is actually dead.
He was absence from Saturday’s 88th anniversary of the birth of the Korean People’s Revolutionary
China had to dispatch medical experts to North Korea to help treat Kim
There is one report that he is not dead, but in a vegetative state.

It will be a few days before the North Koreans announce it.
