I hate to say this because so many people have such butt love for the show, but South Park is retarded. I can't figure out why people get so worked up about a show that isn't even all that funny.

Grow a sense of humor and remember your inner child and you're 1/2 way there.

because the united states has a large market of juvenile minds that think idiotic and offensive for idiotic and offensive's sake is actually somehow sophisticated and witty commentary.
yet another hazard of a society built on thoughtless militant consumption. producers can literally put shit up for sale and people will buy it and love it.
personally, i don't find it offensive. just idiotic, inner child or no.

You really don't get it. I didn't get it either when I was just a lad. Truly, Southpark is a clever and intelligent commentary on American culture, buried within ridiculous premises, from a Canadian point of view. Dull people just don't get it.
Spook, do you like fish sticks?

Tonight's episode is Jersey Shore themed. I am confident I will be smarter after watching. Drink the kool-aid man!

Trey Parker was born and raised in Conifer, CO.
His parents were Randy (a geologist) and Sharon (an insurance broker).
Matt Stone was born in Houston then raised in Littleton, CO.
His parents were Gerald and Shelia, they are Jewish.
(Get it?)
Both attended university in CO.
Both live in CO.
What the fuck does Canada have to do with it?

Well you see, Matt and Trey have so brilliantly crafted their lampooning of American culture such that it has the feel of being on the outside looking in. Or up there looking down, eh? It's obviously written in a Canadian voice. Duh.
I would explain but I have to go split my dick in two and take a shit.
