That's my buddy Pete in the fence truck over by the bottom of the six pack. I'm going to be home Sunday picking up for him, it's never fun looking for white feet in the snow.

Were the event organizers dropped on their heads as children? Why the fuck would you plan a huge event like that in the middle of October at 9000'?

Uhhh did you see the trail race in Utah this week that ended up with something like 90 people rescued after they decided snow wasn't a reason to cancel a race.

8k, but who's counting? I think you can agree that although snow in the high country around here is not uncommon this time of year, several inches at the base of Purg in October is pretty atypical.

I'm wearing shorts and flip-flops today. This attire in northern Vermont in October is pretty atypical too.
Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

8k? You're obviously not counting. Purgatory base elevation 8,793. Sorry I rounded up to 9k, I figured the bike race would probably climb at least 200ft.

Several inches at the base may be atypical, but it's hardly a shocking event in mid October. And surely the races climb higher than the base? Are you one of the organizers? Did I offend by suggesting you were dropped on your head? Having a large outdoor non snow event at 9k feet in mid October seems pretty silly to me. But ok.

Which probably means shorts and flip flops by the end of the month, no more snow until after Christmas and the six pack won’t be running anyway.

He clearly said he would be there Sunday picking up fence. Doesn't sound like he an "organizer".
But I do know other events that he organizes, that he's great at.

Ok, despite James Tiberius Kirk's decades (centuries?) of experience in space when do we stop calling these passengers "astronauts"? I mean, I've been on a plane but I'm no pilot.
