I was down at UD the other day. It is a fairly typical college place with fairly typical co-eds. But yesterday was like a time warp...all of the girls looked straight out of an 80s photo shoot. Just a shame.

To make all the young chubsters these days feel better about themselves as they can wear a midriff that exposes the slimmest part of their torso, above their beer guts. At least according to my 18-year old niece as she tried to explain it to me when I was utterly perplexed by the trend. Same reason that moms liked 'em back in the 80s is why girls wear them now. Except it somehow became fashionable again, but this time for non-moms.

I am SO glad I was a young man in the 90s when ultra low-rise jeans were the trend. Low-rise > mom jeans. Fight me. Although I'd also argue a good trend these days are the sheer yoga pants. On the right people, of course. Sadly, too many of the "people of Wal-Mart" crowd also try and rock them. Barf...
