I wanted to do this after reading last year's report, but, sadly, I'm broken. Good luck, all.

Let's hope there is no snow this year, my tail bone still aches from last year...

Always a good time but we need more people to do both races with me. Just think of the SuperD as a warm up run for the DH. I think we have a good number of folks coming from SLC, including some ringers who want to shut me down.

Unfortunately, one of the local pro's broke his arm on Saturday at Tanners and will not be racing with us. Big Bummer for me as I've been trying to get
Matt J to do this for two years now (and he's REALLY fun to ride with).

^^I think there are going to be a couple of hacks in town looking to do the same that weekend .

I have wanted to do this for two years in a row, but shit conspired to keep me away from Moab. Really looking forward to doing this finally. I am planning on doing both the DH and Super D. I mean, if there is a chance to take dead last in two events the same weekend, why not step it up and own it.

Nice, looks to be a good showing this time. Will be good to see the flying W again.

    MJ broke his arm? Sucks!

And I will be one of the "lame" riders kicking back after the Super D drinking beer while Mr. AG and JoshP run panicked back up for the DH race... hahahah.

I get a new one, just not 'til February. I'm tempted to try to get a Trance X, ASR5, or something in that category but it's sooo close to ski season.

But, as a sidenote, that Reverb ROCKS.

The Ho-Down sounds like fun, but once again I'll have to read somebody else's review rather than writing my own.

Baby Bear and I will be there, racing Supa Dupa D. I'll probably sign up for the DH too. Hopefully Patrickski and JeffreyJim will be there as well.

Anyone notice the "Moab World Pump Track Championships" on the event listing. Sat night= t rubble!

Also, trying to think of good costumes to race the super D in. Obviously a cape would be fun, but prohibitively dangerous.

Double also- I just learned last week that there is a significant reroute of the trail immediately after The Notch. No luge dh to uphill...just kinda contours around.

I think I'm going to do the DH too.
I did the super D on my xc bike last yr but with the reroute I might use the syren instead. looking fwd to it. It looks like it's staying warm in Moab which would be great to not have snow this yr.
Glad more folks are coming this yr!! it's a fun w/e and race.

Ughghgggg fine... guess I may have to do the DH too.

BTW is anyone doing the festival pass? The pump track champs may be worth it on its own.

    ^^^^yea that's the spirit!!

also Mr. AG- since you've done the DH course and also have intimate knowledge of the Syren- do you think that will hold up the Moab DH course? I know the Syren is not techinally a 'DH' bike but it's all I've got beside my puny 4" xc bike. I think mine is built up more free-ridey than Mrs. AG's (single ring etc)
btw- will she be able to race this yr? hope so- would be fun to have more ladies

More generally, is the DH course DH-bike worthy? The description says it goes down porc rim after the lazy-man, but that section soon climbs.

bb - your Syren should be perfect. From what Mr. AG said last year it's pedally enough to reward a slightly smaller bike than a full-on DH rig. He won expert last year on his Can-Diggle with a Gravity Dropper. Most people were on full DH bikes though.

I'm sure the Syren will be fine - I've never had a problem with mine on that trail. Well - I've destroyed a wheel on that course, but it was a relatively lightweight rim.

But no racing for me. I'll be down there riding, but I'm still taking a break from racing.
