Do you care what your ski poles look like?

With the success of a a couple companies selling poles with cool designs , I'm wondering how much the graphics on the pole really matter. Would love to hear your thoughts! I've been on newschoolers for a while and just discovered this forum.

    Thanks!

We've just met and you're asking about my pole? I'm deeply distressed!

I spray paint all my gear flat black when I get it. That way all my sets of poles match each other.

So you work for a company that designs and/or produces poles? Otherwise, why do you care what we think about what our poles look like, JONG??

I read a post a while ago that it was ok to paint your pole so it looked like a storm trooper.

Try the stranger . . . sit on your left hand until it falls asleep and then pretend you don't know it. Figure out the rest.

Don't care how they look - hoping they are buried in snow anyway. What does matter is how light and strong they are so I can whip them easily. Used the same pair for about 7-8 years and thought it was fine until a buddy gave me his brand new pair. Easily 1/3rd the weight. Skiing felt quite different. To me detailed designs don't matter much, but simple colors, price, and performance do.

So long as they are skuffed and bent back into shape a few times, fine by me. Tech Talk seems to be a better place for this though.

I buy a new set every year, put them in the fire to form them to my fat-ass body and then look all downhill racer style...it's cool.

They are bent a bit....but she doesn't seem to mind or effect performance.
