I think the final Hoji specs are already listed, everything but the blurred out graphic. The specs show a 191 with multi-radius that wasn't available laster year, only the 195. 191 coming in at 2,066.

We're gonna do 3 weeks in the Kootenays this winter besides Whistler, and hopefully Baker opens....so want a fully rockered ski back in the quiver. Was gonna go Rens but a 184 Hoji more versatile. And at 165lbs I like 112mm in the waist for float.

Also...was conversing in an email with 4FRNT recently and the rec mount on the 2022 184 Hojis is -4.5cm? Which I would like.

112 or slightly less is the sweet spot for any good ski imho. Sure I've skied a fat or 2 that can hold it's own on hardpack, but with a 130ish tip and a 105-115 waist and around 20m radius you get a very versatile ski. Sure you go to AK or the bird, where you can open up a ski once in a while a bigger radius might help, but I primarily skied around 110 or less underfoot when I lived in the 'satch

The new Ren graphic is probably my favorite from 4frnt in the last few years to say the least. Interesting… and tempting

all of 4FRNT's product videos on the 2022 lineup are live on YouTube

edit: they are the same videos as last year, just with a new product shot in the start to show off the new graphic. Makes sense as most of the skis return unchanged beside a new graphic.

Now somethings messed up with their site or my browser... not all the skis are showing up. But I think only line-up changes this year are the new Hoji and the new (I think) Switch park ski

Yep agreed. Got 8 skis in the current quiver….and 4 pairs are in the 106mm - 112mm waist width range. Last pair of Hojis I owned were the 2013 Pilsner Hojis.

4FRNT Renegade ~ Hand built in SLC.

Got early access to 4FRNT 2022 lineup today.

    Hoji mount is -7cm.

I have an email from 4FRNT in early July confirming mount is -4.5cm, after I asked them. I think they had the 187cm tail length on the 184cm spec sheet for a bit.

Just a reminder to re-measure and ask a few times.

All good. Nice line up 4FRNT! Damn the Rens look cool….Rens or Hojis is the decision now? Leaning Rens with Tectons now.

I wish they built a heavy and light version of the Hoji.

Jupp, really having a hard time pulling the trigger on the hoji when it’s that light

Did the weight change? I'm looking at the site and the weights look the same as before ~2kg in 184. Am I missing something?

Any first hand experience with the Hoji-lock skins?

Thinking of selling my Down 104Ls and moving on to something a little more soft-snow biased with the Raven. Have a week in a BC hut outside Nelson this year, but mostly in CO snowpack.

    It got heavier slightly.

I wish they made a 2100g and 1700g one. Would make it obvious what you’re buying it for. The problem I have with 1900g is personally I don’t do much “sidecountry” so my days are either all in or all out of bounds.

The two weights is a great idea. I do feel the hoji line up is oddly weighted. The ren is sub 2100 (light) but the raven 190 is 1850 (relatively heavy).
I’d be very interested in those Down 104Ls!

I'm stoked on the Hoji's new rocker profile being flatter underfoot for 130cm of running length.

I like the weights for touring skis. Light enough to tour on. Heavy enough to ski great in soft conditions.

They’re not really meant as resort skis. I could see the use for a 2500gram Ren as a resort ski.

Just not the same “hold my dick” energy.

Also the old 196 never felt like a huge ski, but this 191 feels closer to the older 186 vs the 196

It’s an awesome layup, feels like a jski so great for inbounds, hopefully with the new renegade updates coming next year they do something similar. The renegade deserves a layup that can charge.

Did I read that right— the Hoji is traditionally stiffer (burlier?) than the Renegade?

A pair of the new, redesigned Hoji's just showed up at my door in a 191. Rocker profile looks great, much less drastic but still very much a continuous rocker profile. The biggest impression I had compared to my 195 2019 version is the stiffness from boot to tail. At least in terms of hand flex, for whatever it's worth, it is noticeably stiffer in the tail. The 195's were somewhat soft but these are legit stiff. Tip doesn't feel much different, still on the softer side.
