Free range, organic eggs from my local farmer are still $6 a dozen. Cheaper than many grocery stores at this point.

If you think egg prices are up, don’t focus on the price of Oatmeal.

I was just in the store and they had it on the shelf - not a ton of it, but some. With this post in mind (and because I guess I must be a hoarder at heart), I snagged a thing of Argo. But when I got home we had some already. OG if you need it I'll ship it to you, PM me your address. I don't need two containers of cornstarch.

I'm genetically blessed on the cholesterol front but 3 eggs a days and the rest of my diet being based entirely on cheese is probably going to cause challenges at some point down the road.
I have heard that non-factory farm eggs are better on that front, something about the diet of the birds leading to healthier eggs. Should look into it but I'd rather continue stuffing my face with fat...

I, too, am genetically blessed on that front. I, too, am waiting for my diet of cheese, butter, and cream to eventually catch up with me.

'Twill be a sad day, for sure.

I just went to a restaurant supply store that I like for a lot of things and eggs were $16.35 for 18.

At Costco they are $6.59 for 24. What's this nonsense?

^^^ I'll be making the same face as the gal on the right of clipboard dude. A mix of fear and profound sadness with a side of confusion.

Paid $9 for 2 1/2 dzn factory farmed mediums the other day. The next "cheapest" option was $5.75 for 1 dzn ex-large, here in a food desert. Now there is a shortage of chicks as a new wave of DIY egg growers get's started.
