    Nice pics, jeri534

We were concerned about windloading so we did some laps at Snow Lake divide on Saturday. Great snow on N aspects. Buried frozen avy debris (from Pineapple Xpress) in Chair Peak basin was the usually awfulness. The new stuff from last week was very well bonded to the Pineapple XPress crust.

And, that's part of the problem.
People like this make a unwitting mistake, it's compounded because there were no repercussions. They'll go out and do it again because of what they still don't know or understand, and perhaps will not be so lucky the next time.

I hate you guys. So jealous. It snow for weeks straight, so I decided to hit up the Cascades. I go up there and it's pissing rain most of the weekend. The night I leave, it starts dumping snow again. Just my luck. Freaking 80 degrees down here, so warm weather must follow me where ever I go.

Great pictures, though! Keep it up!

    From the NWAC 12/24...

Twas the day before Christmas and off the west coast,

Lurked a deep upper low that was bigger than most.

After filling California with buckets of rain,

It should slowly lift northward to lessen our pain.

The shy looking front bringing warmth, rain and wind—

Should move east on Christmas and let cooling begin.

On Sunday and Monday, temperatures plummet—

With heavy snow falls not just at the summit.

While this should result in many snow surprises—

Beware on lee slopes as the slide danger rises.

As you ride through the fluff with ample good cheer—

Ensure safe travel and have a great New Year.
Monday and Tuesday could be quite nice up there with plenty of precip and 500-1500 ft snow levels.

    Happy Holidays Mags!

Lady and I talked about skiing at Stevens tomorrow but my alpine gear is locked up at Baker. Anyone have any BC Ideas?

Baker was pretty brutal today...about a foot of mank with a really nasty wind crust. The top couple hundred feet was heavy, but at least it didn't have the crust. If you end up in the north I'd try to stick to higher elevations.

Yeah it was interesting up there today. Had some fun right out of the gate off 8 and 5, total suffer fest from the traverse down though.

Alpy delivered this morning. Emptiness. Miraculous breaks from the fog at just the right times. Blue ice to avoid in places, knee deep goodness to exploit in others. All in all an excellent morning.

The ticket for doing 25 over on the way down, not so excellent, but oh well. Guess it's a numbers game.

State Patrollers usually don't show up for traffic tickets. You just have to go to court twice. Once in Issaquah and the second in Redmond. I know from experience.

Is anyone driving up to snocompton in the next dew days from seattle?? I'm not a big contributor here and I don't think anyone can vouch for mer I just want get my shred on at alpental sometime this week. I don't have a touring set up at the moment and it might get busy so I wouldn't be wiener about getting ditched and meeting up with you later. Happy to have someone to ride with though and happy to pay for gas with cash or other tokens of my appreciation. Merry christmas
