About 3-4" fell last night in Truckee at ~6500ft.

Anyone know of a place to get my hair cut in town? Just a buzz, so a cheap place will do.

Every year I have purchased new powder skis, it has been a crappy year for Tahoe. As much as I want a new pair of Big Dumps, I know that purchasing a pair of them would doom us all to hardpack and the occasional session on some windblown. At this point, Im broke, so everyone can rest easy.

    oi

I'm with you, lad. Followed Dave Beck out towards Miess Hut today. (He didn't know I was tailing him. When's that guy gonna get a newer Subaru?) What few turns I got were fraught with peril. Put the skins back on in order to survive the trail back out to the parking lot. Maybe I shoulda just hiked KW when I stopped at the General Store for a SnoPark pass.

No matter - I got out for a tour and that makes me feel sooo much better.

    CHEERS!

    Have a fun winter, kids!

    Game on.

Yeah nice turns though, good start.
Had the same experience today. Mr. Ferrari at the bottom, red-faced, yelling at me for skiing his private property. I thought this was FS land? Anyone know the details?

Besides the verbal assault, the snow was ok. Snow settled quite a bit, so rocks were hit on 25% of my turns. But when I didn't hit rocks, it was money.

Next significant chance of snow looks to be around the 19th according to models. Hopefully, it produces. What we got now is just annoying.

    why page 2??

the east winds are threatening to take all this goodness away. should that happen, and you missed it, this is what it was like. Unfortunately, the first run, which was my best of the year, was not captured due to a battery latch issue.
