I’ve been meaning to put something up about this. While I was researching American Utopia because of how intriguing DB’s personality is, I found out he’s slightly autistic/Asperger’s. I thought that explained a lot.

I've seen American Utopia in theaters twice - it's not a static piece, the second time was quite different from the first. So even if you've seen the movie, go see it live if you get a chance.

Currently reading Love Goes to Buildings on Fire, history of music in the 70s in NYC. Hasn't even gotten to the mid 70s yet and it's already fantastic. Takes forever to read though - you have to keep stopping to listen to songs on spotify.

    Also reading
Talking Heads' Fear of Music (33 1/3)
33 & 1/3 are little books all about one album
Jonathon Lethem, one of my favourite authors did this one and its magnificent

I remember distinctly sitting on my balcony in Manhattan 7+ years ago, reading this, listening to the album ( which wasnt my fav, I was a Remain in Light or SOngs about Buildings guy) slowly smoking a spliff and just being transfixed.

Great news. I have the Bluray and some of the footage is grainy . particularly the darker scenes. I'm sure with modern tech they can use algorithms to spruce it up

Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew are currently touring as the Remain in Light Tour....saw/heard them at the Boulder Theater last month.....GREAT SHOW!!! most of the Remain in Light album with a few other heads songs....sold out, excellent band and they were way into it as was the on our feet dancing all night long crowd (lots of grey hairs boppin?!)....best/fun show I've been to in years....as close to Talking Heads live as likely ever to get now.....catch em if you can FYI, Chet
