    Steamboat Vs. Aspen Vs. Keystone

    Hey everyone,

Planning on moving out to colorado to work on a mountain and live for ski season. I can be transferred to Steamboat (which seems to have the most affordable living), Aspen, or Keystone through my job.

I'm from Boston, and have never been out west. Can you tell me what these places are like? Are they all cool?

Steamboat would be the easiest for me to set up to go to. Is there also cool hiking around these parts?

Any info would be appreciated. Please refer me to any websites or books too!

    thanks!

by the way, I no longer go to actual ski resorts out here in the east cause I am sick of waiting in lines, when I can just strap my board to my pack and do backcountry. Are there a lot of backcountry spots in these areas?

Holy shit. Steamboat has its days, but so does Aspen. The mountains in Aspen kick steamboats ass though (in and out of bounds). But if you have a sled, and aren't a pussy of going deep bc, go Steamboat. Otherwise it's Aspen. I'd choose Aspen. But if you want my real advice, I suggest you NOT move to Colorado and move instead to Utah and get converted into a Mormon. lol. ps some of my best drinking mates are mormon

btw, Keystone sucks dick. Anyone who says otherwise sucks even more dick and they don't know how fucking stupid they really are.

Behold my fluffy goodness, you bastard.

Keystone's pretty lame, unless you like intermediate groomers and big line ups
Aspen's the shit, and you might even get lucky and bang some rich bitch Cougar
    Never been to Steamboat

Steamboat IMHO is much more of a community than just a ski town. Tons of stuff to do of course like all of CO.

Both Aspen and Steamboat would be good places to end up. Keystone wouldn't even be close.

Steamboat generally has better snow. Aspen has much better terrain for experts, in and out of bounds.

Aspen has a lot more night life and a lot more women.

I would vote for Steamboat. Aspen is great but Steamboat is a nice community of folks.

Whatever you do stay away from Summit County.
