I wish there was some newer choices…so for the summer, I’m having to stick with my old school throw back binges.
I've been more or less off of the box (TV) for awhile now so never watched it.
Until now; just finished tonight as well.
    Very good.
    Last season was rough.

    Calling Saul soon.

I liked many aspects of the OA, others not so much.

The version I watched was in English, it didn’t seemed dubbed, if it was, they did a great job of it.

Highly recommend this intriguing, beguiling, and quasi-surreal, slightly absurd, but no less philosophical rumination on love, belonging, and testing fate.

The Tomorrow War: low expectations required, but way better than Army of the Dead.
    Fuck the RT ratings.

Well poop; just realized Tomorrow war is Prime not NF,

    Still better than AotD.

If you grew up on 1980s and 1990s action, horror, and sci-fi films, then I highly recommend this gloriously over-the-top homage to those genres.

    Hunt For The Wilderpeople
    Recommending this Taika Waititi gem.
It's a wonderfully hilarious riff on the manhunt trope delivered with Waititi's trademark off-kilter charm.

Yeah, looking back, we watched it when it came out, it was a very disappointing show.

Pan's Labyrinth is on Netflix at the moment. I rewatched it recently, for the first time since seeing it in the theater, and it's still a haunting favorite great film.

OK, I've watched a few more episodes of "I Think You Should Leave" and it's pretty fucking hilarious. Definitely recommended! Also each show is under 20 minutes.

    Dorohedoro
I just finished S1 of this bonkers anime.
Granted, I am not super well-versed in anime genre (I am not an "otaku" by any means), yet I have enjoyed such fare as Cowboy Bebop, Akira, Spirited Away, and Ghost in the Shell.
While possessing, to my eyes at least, similarly intricate and nuanced animation style as the aforementioned, Dorohedoro may very well be the most gonzo anime I have ever seen, at least in terms of story.
The gist of the story is that the main protagonist, Caiman, wakes up one day with a lizard head and no memory. Oh, and he loves eating gyoza.
To say any more would ruin the complete off-the-nuts weirdness of the whole endeavor.

If you decide to dip into the Dorohedoro waters, I highly recommend that you watch the original Japanese voice cast version with English subtitles; the Japanese voice cast is fantastic.

I am including the Japanese trailer because it is more surreal...

I am keeping my hopes and expectations low given that I have been burned too many times recently by NF Originals whose trailers kicked ass, but the actual films sucked.

That said, What. A. F$%king. Great. Cast. !!!!!

Heck, the only thing that coulda made the cast better woulda been the inclusion of Bokeem Woodbine...
