Guy I work with is a retired screenwriter from H'Wood. He did rewrites on Bad Boys and Zorro, amongst others.

Today he said "Hey, just watch the first 6 minutes of Six Underground and then turn it off...the first six minutes is all you need to see." Then he went into detail about people's heads getting blown off.

I watched the trailer and immediately thought "This is a film that would probably be best experienced in IMAX..."

I personally think NF f$%ked up not giving it a wider theatrical release, especially after all the money the Transformers movies made...

Is this thing more Bad Boys (which was a solidly entertaining action / popcorn flick) or more Transformers 5 (2 hours of action sequences with virtually nothing tying those sequences together)?

Regardless, I'll probably watch it. Not because it's going to be good. But because it's there. *sigh*

I turned it off. Doesn’t quite get into the “so bad it’s good” game. It’s just really bad...

    6 Underground = (Deadpool+Miami Vice+Fast & Furier + Mission Impossibly) x WTF?!

The opening car chase was pure comic book. The boat fight finale managed to top it!

    Don't bother.

That article is as though it were written by an adolescent junior-higher who stole his father’s iPad and went to write an article, but just before that he drank 15 Red Bulls. It’s wild, it’s immature, it’s artless.

A junior-high student desperately grasping at some deeper meaning because he didn't do his homework and started writing it at 11pm the night before it was due.

    Netflix: instaView rec's

“Witcher” is a strange one... it starts out really shitty, as in bad dialog, bad acting, just a wtf vibe all around. Like a shitty romance novel blended with an 80’s sword-and-sorcery B-movie, directed by a GOT intern.

We stuck it out for episode 2, mainly out of boredom; it got better. 5 episodes in, and I’m actually enjoying it. Some moments of hilarity, plenty of nudity, some shitty romance crap, lots of violence, and all of it over-the-top. Not a masterpiece by any means, but worth a watch.

'Bout to start the last episode, seems like a typical SciFi channel offering i.e. good enough to watch when. you're caught up on all the better shows, but lacking in other redeeming qualities.

    The Two Popes was enjoyable.

Two great actors obviously enjoying their roles playing off each other.

A little too reverential or maybe just careful of criticism of the church. Ratzinger's confession being silenced out was a pity.

    But definitely worth a watch.

I have been enjoying “The Witcher” lately. It seems to be a cross between the Game of Thrones and The Last Kingdom. Plenty of magic, witches, monsters, kings and queens, dragons, Sword play and ass kicking

The Witcher certainly got better towards the end. It wasn't until near the end I realized the different storylines were not linear. I was a bit confused midway when some people who died at the beginning, were alive.
    - I found Yennifer's constant blame of others for her sterilization annoying since she willing under went the procedure.
    - who knew hunchbacks could be so fetching
    - The witchy end battle was really well done. I see where most of the budget went.
    - Superman is really a bad actor.

What do you get when you combine moon Nazis, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Steve Jobs religious cult, janky spaceships, Hitler riding a T-rex, and the need to save the last of humanity?

    Iron Sky: The coming race.

Totally stupid, shut you brain off, sci-fi amusement. And, there are plans for more in the works!
