Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 11/9 is worth watching - even if you disagree with his politics or dislike him. A good chunk of the film centers around the Flint water crisis - how the fuck is no one in jail over that mess.

Trigger Warning with Killer Mike- watch the first few, interesting concepts, funny, awkward, definitely pushes button, but is kinda dumb, but I kept watching cause I like Killer Mike and the ATL vibe.

Russian Doll- watched this week, liked it, kept engaged, ending wasn't crazy head scratching like I thought it would be. Didn't blow me away but kept my attention. Really made me want to start smoking again.

Ken Jeong comedy special is funny as shit. Ray Romano is mediocre.

Watched the Killing of Versace. Started out really strong but dragged towards the end of the season. Was just ok overall I think.

Velvet Buzzsaw just put me into a sadistic state where I was cheering for most to get murdered, kinda like the people in Blair Witch. The art sucked, too.

This sums it up perfectly for me. I think I'm going to watch it again before I start hunting down the symbolism and easter eggs.

Is anybody else starting to get a bit wary of the persistent use of the 80s? Stranger Things is a great example. I'm not sure I'd like it as much if it didn't feel so familiar. Part of me likes that familiarity, and then part of me feels like I'm being duped. Like my nostalgia is being taken advantage of.

Agreed; same thing with shows that use cute, wise-ass kids, manipulating our maternal/paternal feelings. That's two strikes against Stranger Things - not planning on watching the next season.

I think it's just ok. My wife loves it, though. She's much more into the super hero/comic book movies than I am though. The soundtrack kicks ass.

YIL that its being written by Gerard Way, who is also the lead singer for My Chemical Romance.

I saw the pilot and apparently some of the second episode but I may have been too tired (and high) and fell asleep. What I remember was decent but need to rewatch the second half again.

Haha, exactly the same as my household. Of course I missed the first episodes so never got into it but the wife is staying up later than me to watch more episodes now. Yawn.

Almost through the Ted Bundy Tapes, worth a watch, if only to see how depraved seemingly normal people can be.

Not Netflix related, but those of you that liked Ted Bundy Tapes, and other related stories of horrible people, Last Podcast On The Left covers that stuff with heavy doses of comedy and depravity.

Just started the Umbrella Academy, mildly interested after one episode. ETA: see it mentioned now, just up thread. Humorously enough, my wife is the one who really wants to watch it.
