Totally bonkers South Korean action flick. Live action merged with crazy cgi. The camera work was like a spastic teenager playing a video game.

Sadly, I couldn’t get past the 18-minute mark…mostly because of the spastic teenager camera work.

That said , you might dig The Raid 2

The online hype for this thriller has already begun.
It looks promising, but one thing I’ve learned is that NF is pretty good and creating buzz for what eventually turn out to be mediocre films.
That said, the trailer is intriguing…

Difference of opinion. Worst movie I've seen in a while.
Shallow cultural appropriation at its cringiest. MTV-level effort. If I was stuck in a room with any of the leads I would jump out a window

I thought it was pretty good. The soundtrack was awesome, too. Super awkward at times but I think that was the point.

I’m on the side that the characters were too one dimensional and the “everything turns out okay in the end” was beyond ridiculous.

It was enjoyable to watch. Very predictable and overused plot. Eddie Murphy isn’t funny in it.

I mean who cancels a wedding and breaks up on their wedding day because parents don’t get along with each other?

I think the chemistry between the 2 main characters and the soundtrack were the only redeeming qualities.

I don’t think he was bad, just didn’t think he was funny.

I subscribe to the notion it’s Netflix, so dumb your expectations down at least 50% and you’ll enjoy their movies.

Sheng Wang - Sweet and Juicy

One of the funniest stand up specials I've seen. He a "clean" comedian in the vein of Brian Regan. Had me hooked right with the opening bit about Costco.

That's who Lawrence Tierney was trying to remember in the opening scene of Reservoir Dogs. Also, it's Wang not Chang.

Glad you liked it. I watched it yesterday on a flight and the person next to me was looking at me funny since I was laughing so hard. The mention of Costco pants hit home and made me think of our thread here.

Watched The Stranger last night. Excellently tense and dark.
