    I have been cultured in an Aussie way!

    I was fortunate/unfortunate enough to be given a sample of an Australian cuisine this morning buy a fellow Aussie co-worker. It was a sample of something called Vegemite on a piece of toast. This stuff is apparently the product of whats left over from the bear vat after brewing. I have to say, I feel bad for those of you that where weened on this as a child. I found it pretty nasty, to be polite about it.

    Fuck it, it was gnarly. How do you eat that shit. Any Aussie maggots that want to defend this stuff or back me up in its rancid flavor...

    Jesus Christ!!!!!!! Are you sure you are not suppose to grease the bearings on your outboard motor with this shit!!

    Vegimite is good shit, the problem is that lots of aussies just smother their toast in it. You're supposed to put on a normal amount of butter, and about 1/4 that amount of vegimite. You are NOT supposed to use it like its jam.

    Vegemite is dog food marketed to humans. Don't eat or trust anything Aussie. They talk funny and look funny. Their water doesn't even flush the right way.

    Ive only been to Brizzy and Melbourne and agree Australia is a great place. There are some hot f'ing women there and the beaches are sweet. Too bad most of the blokes are aggro psychopaths

    Ate it some in New Zealand though it's not as big over there. Thought is was OK, really salty and I like salt so...

    The Nutella was really good though, prolly preferred that.

    When I was a TA at UW I made my class vegemite sandwiches one day at the end of the quarter. Needless to say they ate very little and I got to eat most of it myself over the course of the hour. Mmmm.
    Best of all on a toasted english muffin with plenty of butter.

    I only tried it once, and it was spread heavy like peanut butter on the toast. I was not a fan and have not tried it since. I will have to give it a second chance the way Leroy said to eat it.
