Finished the last episode of the The Nevers (HBO) - gonged by critics, it's been well received by audiences, including me. Wonderfully fantastical, pleasant to very good characters, the plot is a little jumbled at times but after re-watching several episodes to get the shit that I'd missed, I really began to appreciate it. If you think Wheedon is a poseur, don't bother - his fingerprints are all over it.

    Probably my favorite show ever.

The Kominsky Method season 3 starts on Netflix tomorrow.
Hope Norman makes it to the end of the season.

Been over two decades, but it's been fun to revisit Freaks & Geeks on Hulu. One of Judd Apatow's earlier productions. SO many actors you'll recognize got their big breaks from that one. Fun show.

Will transport you right back to 1981. Captures the awkwardness and some of the nuances of high school back in the day so perfectly.

WELL FUCK ME, NORMAN - YOU DIDN'T EVEN TRY!!!!
Norman/Alan Arkin a no-show for season three. He was the foundational pillar of the show - hard to imagine it not stumbling badly.

Not a new series, but a new season of Alone started today. Couldn’t recall if we had an Alone thread yet but I’m pretty excited. They’re in BC. Lots of bear footage in the first few minutes

Yes. Was pleasantly surprised a new episode was in my DVR last night. Mtn Lion and Bears already making cameos.

Ted Lasso on Apple TV is great. Good enough that I’m watching it a second time with the kids. Funny and infectiously optimistic. If nothing else, watch it for the random and hilarious Allen Iverson reference.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Plot moves glacially and not much of one at that. Hard to give a fuck about any of the characters, but whatev. does have a couple cool vettes.

Yeah, this summer everyone is watching The White Lotus and Ted Lasso, me included, but Reservation Dogs is under the radar great. Slackeish with very dry humor and meandering storylines worth following.

The White Lotus was slow but engaging for some reason. Great ending. I think there will be another season.

I really wanted to like the White Lotus, but found it disappointing and depressing. Can't really find fault with much, but the basic premise of we're all selfish pricks, especially if we have any wealth, is not something I want to watch for 6 hours.
And the twist on the brunette bimbo's "murder" at the end just made me angry. Oh, and too real poopage.

Can we talk about White Lotus? fukked up from a person who has made a career of being Armond

I really didnt like it but had to watch, good stories, horrible people but not far off from what I dealt with in Aspen, etc.

beautifully shot, but needed more staff characters or just more staff around. High end resorts need a lot of people.

    fuck whitey?
