Man, I don't get how the powers that be in Hollywood expect the 99% to afford a subscription to every streaming service these days...it's getting to the point where one has to be subscribed to at least 5 services to watch all the cool stuff that's out there.
CBS All Access is looking like they're gonna give Netflix and Amazon Prime a run for their money with these upcoming shows:

^Amazon Prime and whatever NBC has to offer when they get The Office is my plan. NFLX is going to need some banger shit when the NBC shows leave.

Netflix got whacked on subscriptions on their last quarter and looks like it's going to be tough goings for them ahead
and I wouldn't consider myself price sensitive (DINKs) but I have started questioning netflix after the recent price increases
has anyone tried that curiosity stream? the price is right at 2.99 month/ 19.99 yr.
thinking about cancelling cable too and taking it to full nerdville as I think this covers a lot of the random channels we tend to watch on cable

We cut the cable a few years ago. I only miss the ability to record football games, and fast forward through commercials.
We have netflix and Amazon. But Amazon kinda sucks.
We will buy the Disney service when it comes out. Probably not the CBS and NBC services.

If you're considering a subscription solely for the office, it might be time to just buy the seasons on amazon or itunes or whatever. Certainly not worth $10-$20 /month for reruns IMO.
We have Prime, HBO, Netflix and share that with the in-laws for their Hulu password. Feels like we're covered.

I have not had cable since 1991.
I have Amazon, but as This End Up stated, "it kinda sucks". I have about 1000 films in my queue and I never feel like watching any of them!
I still do NF DVD as there are quite a bit of films that the do not streathe only drawback to this service is that quite a few of the films I have in my queue obviously do not have a lot of copies, so they are always listed as "Very Long Wait and more often than not they just disappear from my queue (which leads me to believe they were never returned, got lost in the mail, or were damaged and ND doesn't feel the need to replace them).
It is getting harder and harder to find good foreign films, old classics, and obscure genre stuff...

Yellowstone on the Paramount network.
Sort of like Dallas, but way better.
Kevin Costner plays John Dutton, owner of the largest ranch in Montana. Indians, California land developers, and casino regulators are all about trying to take him, his family, and ranch kingdom down. Filmed in UT and MT, it has a very authentic western cowboy feel. Lots of horse riding, cattle roping, drunk cowboy fights, murder, mayhem. There is also naked women and sex in the mix.
Good story telling and acting. Although, the Dutton family is just as corrupt and criminal as their adversaries, you want them to succeed in the fight to survive.

Just finished this on Netflix. It’s been dubbed in English. It’s definitely not a version of Humans like I thought it would be.
Russian guy that runs a sex robot factory gets his hands on a new Chinese model that has better awareness programming. Although it is not really autonomous, she kills someone and runs off to hide. She befriends a family that she encodes herself to. Evil robot corp eventually finds her and tries to sell the idea of using this new upgrade robot to replace all workers over 45 years old with early retirement bonus program.
There’s all kinds of side stories: cops, anarchists, divorce, mother with robot child......
It’s 16 episodes, longer than typical Netflix offering. Although there is plenty of language and violence, there is scant sex scenes, and absolutely no nudity.

Just finished S2 of Mindhunter. 4/5 It's going to take forever to finish telling the BTK part of the story though. Maybe it's a plan to try and keep getting new seasons so they can continue.

Short series (3 episodes) on PBS Masterpiece called “Mrs Wilson”. Very good. If you like LeCarre spy stories, it is kinda like that, only different.

Just got around to finishing season three of "Stranger Things." A bit convoluted and slow at first, but it picks up and finishes nicely.

CARNIVAL ROW
it's worth a watch if you dig Steam Punk, Middle Fantasy (I found that the story was sandwiched between Low Fantasy tropes and High Fantasy tropes), and don't mind some soap opery elements.
Well cast, well acted, and a solid production value add a lot to the mix.
It's like Narnia meets Deadwood...

i got suckered into American Horror Story Apocalypse. I love a good end-of-the-world story but I'm pretty annoyed that it turned into True Blood v2 after a couple of episodes. I keep watching because the acting is really good and it's interesting to see the actors switch between different roles. Oh yeah, and a cringy cameo by Stevie Nicks!
