I tried to like this; it’s just fucked up enough to keep my interest. But there’s a weird time lag between dialog and lips moving. Like it’s dubbed poorly. I thought it was my connection, but it only happens on this show. Maybe it is dubbed, but I just can’t be bothered to look it up.

I suppose I should watch it. I set the DVR to record the series. But I have to say I’ve been a little disappointed in recent seasons.

    Binged it.

    Fantastic.

Exhausting and exhilarating in equal measure.

    Much like watching Uncut Gems.

"Barry" on HBO Max is pretty entertaining. Finished up the final season last weekend. Most of the characters are pretty unlikeable but it all works.

The show has definitely evolved. People have a better understanding of how to survive(gain weight and use stored fat reserves) it’s made the show a lot less dramatic.
It’s still a good show though.

It’s great at putting me to sleep but I still watch it for some reason.

First couple seasons were way better.

It's amazing what being alone will do to your mind. I always laugh when early on contestants are crowing about how they are fine being alone, have done it tons, will be the last to tap because they are doing it for their family's future and can handle the separation in the short term, and by week 3 they're blubbering messes tapping because they miss their families.

My favorite are the people who invest all their time and energy into building a shelter, then a month later realize they are starving and never procured enough food.

I just binged a season that just dropped on Netflix, but wondering if that means I am a season behind y'all.

Is anyone watching The Old Man on FX?
I tuned in for John Lithgow and Jeff Bridges alone.

Lithgow's still got it; I'd argue that he's carrying more weight in this show than Bridges.

    MONSTERLAND - Hulu
I checked out the first two eps of this series the other night and it is interesting.
It uses urban myths and horror film tropes to tackle issues such as teen pregnancy, abortion, school shootings, and incel trolls.
It’s not preachy, but definitely has more social-political commentary than I expected, which is cool.
I never got past the first ep of Black Mirror, but I would place it in that vein. Also owes a debt to Twilight Zone and Outer Limits, but much darker and more nihilistic.

They're both getting their time in the sun

Great to watch 'bang you're dead' fight scenes not 'West Side Story' dance numbers

    Wait ..... whut??

    Bridges' underbite/denture flapping is distracting.

Catch-22 on Hulu was a pleasant surprise this past heat wave.

(It was released a couple years ago so my apologies if it's been mentioned)

What the heck happened to The Old Man??? 7 episodes and then nothing????? If that's the end of the season, I'm not pleased.
