TR: Mt. Baker - Coleman Headwall FAIL (alternate decent)
Alto called me up the other day and asked me if I wanted to go ski something up on Mt. Baker. He was vague about what we'd be skiing, but I signed up anyway.
Here are a few of the hi-lights from the day, I've written a full TR HERE.
Two routes down the headwall, we intended to ski whichever one felt better.
The top. Photo: Alto (Drew Tabke)
Uhhhh....
The line we did ski. Photo Alto: (Drew Tabke)
Another link to the Full TR if you're too lazy to scroll up.
Hope you enjoy, we sure did.

Jesus, the intended lines are pretty rediculous ... The back up is still some serious stoke. Nice job!

Wow. That was an impressive day. Anyone shit there pants when the ice started coming down? I probably would have been on my way to the car! I think you made a wise choice on lines. Nice. Nice.
BTW, what's with skiing with the ice axe as sidearm? That could have hurt when it gored into your kidney! Ouch.

Tho' alto really needs to pull out the gaiters to fully commit to his mountaineer steeze:
We should ski sometime, except job limits me to weekends only.Move upside and let the man go through...

Nice working getting up there guys! Very cool stuff, especially like the skier turning above that massive icefall. Too bad that wind came up on you, but like I always say, make the best of what you got...and you guys sure did. Looks like fun turns.
