HELP... Rossi FKS 155 mounting concerns
It goes like this: I went to a shop (Snowcovers in Vancouver) to get some gear, which included a pair of Rossignol FKS 155 bindings. The shop tech however warned against mounting them on anything other than the race plates that are on rossi race skis, as the small bolt pattern is prone to ripping out of skis when simply drilled into the ski. What I'm wondering is if any of you out there in internet-land have any experince with these bindings, whether or not they've stayed in place, or if you work in a shop and what your opinion of my the situation is. I'm mounting the bindings of Volant Spatulas. Your replies would be much appreciated.

The hole pattern is fine, but what are you planning on doing for the brakes?

Don't know yeat. Go breakless, as fat skis don't stop in pow anyways, or get a leash.

I use that same heel on my SPs (Look Z race). Worked fine for me and thousands of others over the last 20 years or so. If you are planning on landing fakie alot on hardpack, they may rip out. I've heard of 4frnt having a problem with this binding and their skis.
If you put Solly's on your spats you can get brakes that wide for them, although it requires some trickery. PM me if you want to know how.ROBOTS ARE EATING MY FACE.

Yeah, I'm gonna mount 'em. One tech vs. 1000's skiers... skiers win.
