Rode bob's basin freeride today. Everything was super except for one very large puddle in the middle of cutthroat DH that was actually pretty swampy even to walk around.

Later in the afternoon I rode the draper trails. Up clarks and down ghost falls. First time on the trails and they were superb!

Wait, can Pipeline and "super fun" even be in the same sentence together?

Almost mowing down bitchy jogger ladies is "pretty fun".

City Creek Canyon was supposed to be closed this morning, for helicopter applied herbicide, but apparently the weather had other plans. It's been re-scheduled for tomorrow.

Good call. But that still only elevates the trail to "marginally fun".

This is why I prefer pushing my DH bike up Rattlesnake and riding back down to noodling along upper Pipeline for my lunch ride/dog exercise sessions. At least I get to really terrify the bitchy dog walkers on my DH bike with full face. Good times, good times.

Anyone know if the draper trails are going to be okay to ride tomorrow afternoon? Did it rain heavily out there today?

I work in Draper, near Corner Canyon, did not rain any appreciable amount today. Unless there was an isolated thunderstorm over Corner Canyon, I'd imagine conditions were comparable.

I would imagine everything will be good tomorrow afternoon. Out and back from Red Butte to City Creek on BST, only a couple small puddles.

Draper's good to go. 1 very tiny puddle on clarks which probably won't be there tomorrow.

Rode Little Mtn/Mormon Trail this morning. Both were in good shape, a couple of muddy sections needed walking on Little Mtn. Mormon trail from the reservoir to the pass is riding really nice.

The section from Afleck Park down to the road crossing where the bathroom is will be closed for through Sat at least. Short section of road to bypass it. I ran into a Ranger who told me they are going to be working on it for Trails day this weekend. Sounds like we are going to have another dirt sidewalk to ride.

This will not be getting a widening however:

^^ springs, any word on the condition of the other side of Mormon trail from big mountain down to east canyon? that's always a great ride.

Also per my earlier question, saw a post on emptybeer that there is snow on the road 2 miles up from the Pipeline TH. Crest in August this year? Ugh.

Anybody ventured out Snowbasin area? Positive the equestrians are out in Wheeler/Maples but thinking Green Pond might be close to a go.

    Skyline South is good.

I'd be out there now, but I'm still in recovery for ACL reconstruction. Soon. Ogden BST is perfect right now though.

Didn't have a look. Based on the fact that it's a stream bed most of the way down I would suspect it's still pretty wet.

You mean the Southern Skyline trail? That would be surprising but good news! Best trail in the Wasatch IMO. Now I just have to get in shape.

So who and when did they turn lower oak hollow trail in Draper into a 3 foot wide wavy side walk? I'm afraid they took one of my favorite trails and fubared it. It used to be smooth and flowy, and now it just sucks. I'm afraid it's going to be a dusty mess in about a month...

You will not believe your eyes when you see the quarry trail below the first bridge! ...Seriously!

There is a 10' deep canyon the width of the trail where the trail used to be. Oh, and the bridge might not be there anymore as well. The foundation was moving yesterday. I know one of the upper bridges is definitely gone.

I'll try to snap a picture when we're back up there preping for tonight's sequile.
