this thread delivers, damn
Be careful about buying snowboard goggles for skiing. Snowboard goggles come in right eye and left eye (for goofy-footers) dominant models. This can make it hard to see correctly when skiing because you are facing straight down the hill, not sideways.

Can't compete with a lot of these, but what the hell? An hour or two West of the Colorado/Utah border on 70...

Pretty sure I'm way out of the running against the shots posted, but it's good to go out and shoot with some motivation. Thumbs up for another quality MPC.

I just wanted to say that there are some fantastic pictures in here! I wish I had the time to go out and take some photos for this. Just not possible the past couple of weeks. Thanks everyone for sharing your work!

i thought this same thing when i first found the thread and kind of gave up before even trying. then i was driving and something caught my eye, triggered the photo contest memory and went back the next day to get the shot i submitted above.
i didnt expect it to be fantastic when i went to shoot it, but as i was there shooting (i ended up shooting in the exact opposite direction i originally planned) the shot evolved as the sun began to set and i was able to capture easily my best photograph to date.
as i interpret it, the contest isnt about winning or about showing off the awesome mountain range in your backyard. its about motivating you to get out and try to capture a shot. thats thhe only way youre are going to get better. -especially when someone else is coming up with the guidelines to take you out of your comfort zone and break you of creative circles.
so go shoot something, in fact, im going to go drive around and find something to shoot just to get another submission. i suggest you do the same. holla."Yeah, yeah. you buy Playboy for the articles just like I watch Brokeback Mountain for the scenery... wait, that doesnt work."
