    Shit, I love my dog. I hope he never dies.

    But owning a dog has its huge rewards and major responsibilities--with the heaviest resoponsibility being the fact you will out-live your dog and have to face a tough time...

    I showed it to some friends and one guy said he had seen it before, and that he thought it was a nice tribute to his dog at first, but the further along it went the more he didn't like the guy.

    My response was that I don't know what I thought of the guy, not sure you were really supposed to like him. But I do know that he loved his dog, and that his dog made him a better person. And that was the point.

    I can't watch, my best friend just put down her best friend yesterday. Maybe in a few days.

    I lost my mind, was absolutely batshit and useless, for about 6 weeks when I put my horse down.

    Sorry for everyone with the aging dogs/animals. The joy they bring to our lives is worth the pain of sending them over the rainbow when they need to go. sigh.
