Super G TV episode 14...Haines, AK
I hit the jackpot this month and arrived in Haines, AK to a very stable snowpack, blower pow, and sunny skies. I linked up with a kick ass group and flew 6/7 days and each day we ramped up to bigger and badder lines. These are the warm up runs from the start of the trip, just trying to get used to skiing steeps while submerged in the whiteroom....more to come from the AK session, including sunny spines and big game hunting, so stay tuned to Super G TV!

perfect use for the 12 pound Supers. From Heli basket to 3000 vert. No lifting required....
I need to go to Utah.
Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

yeah man this trip blew my mind! I lucked out so hard, but as with any ski trip, you will never get it if you dont go. glad you all are stoked so far.
--Reggie was the guide in this vid, and Tom takes over for the rest of the episodes
--The Super 7s are awesome, real floaty but big and strong too.
--on the last knob I got gaped right as I went off as I saw a flat to somewhat uphill landing and I just bailed. That's the tricky thing about skiing in AK, you never want to send a blind air as there always seems to be a bergshrund or hole or some other feature waiting to jack you up. Skiing this terrain is one thing, but charging AK like you see in the movies is a whole different level. For me, easy does it is always a good idea...

Slayer Horns. All I can say is you guys better sit back and enjoy Super G TV, this is just the begining. You rocked Gabe, it was a pleasure guiding you. Here's a pic of Warthog, a first we put in in the town zone during Gabe's visit.
