I get there 1-2 days a year. It is all legit.
Steep runs on the backside that are not prone to getting sun baked
    No crowds
Delicious, cheap food (a 3$ homemade cinnamon roll that is 4-5 inches tall and takes up 1/3 of a dinner plate)
    Incredible rustic vibe

    Now just don’t tell anyone

It was like pulling up to any Vermont Mountain like Ascutney or something. We were questioning our move. However, dropping into the backside was semi mind blowing. It is steep and there are some cool lines. Talk about the soul of skiing. I love the little resorts that have sick terrain. The aspect is good and snow was always some version of pow when we rode there. The place is more legit than you would think. I hope to get back there someday.

BTW, I meant to write this response, but forgot to... I wouldn't consider the backside "gnarly"... Rather, it is steep without many obstacles or exposure. So it isn't really hard skiing, but it's really fun skiing.

well then, I guess i should take my cousin up on his offer to come. He was an instructor this year @ discovery & told me i should come check it out.

He finally has it good. Fishing guide in the summer & ski instructor in the winter.

    I really wasn't expecting such a response. don't worry i'll keep quiet.
