One of the best opening days ever for the NCAA. Nothing better than upset city. I just wish SDSU could have beat Tenn
I don't think the Griz is gonna do it but I can hope.

Woo Hoo.
Gotta love it, 12 seed thoroughly tramples a 5 seed, it's the first tourney win in school history and the last time a team from their conference won a game in the tournament was something like 15 years ago. Plus the coaches are good friends/former co-workers and intentionally never play each other.
I'd love to see the Big Red make it far enough to at least play a game in the Dome. That would practically be a home game.

Cornell beat Alabama earlier this year so I started to play that angle. I fell in love with the Temple defense and the talking heads. FUCK.

X2
And came VERY close to beating an undefeated (at that point in time) Kansas at Kansas. They were also able to hang with SU for the first half (2nd half it went down hill pretty quick), at SU.
That's not really saying much (we're not talking polo here), but they are indeed a hell of a team for an Ivy and overall a very good team that can certainly be competitive with teams from "real conferences".Last edited by dumpy; 03-19-2010 at 02:55 PM.

anyone pick Vermont?
yeah, yeah, a 16 has never beaten #1, blah, blah. but could it actually happen this year?
#2 syracuse lost to #15 richmond in 1991.
#13 Vermont beat #4 Syracuse in 2005.
senior guard maurice joseph (14 ppg) plays for UVM and his younger brother kris (11 ppg) is a forward for Syracuse.Big skis from small companies at Backcountry Freeskier
