Looking for All Mountain FR wide board. Need help.

    Hi Guys,
I have a Lib Tech Mullet 165 (camber, not the new rocker one) that I bought a couple of years ago to ride Pow in Mammoth. The board is so good and rips on the groomers too.
But sometimes I wish it had a bit more flex, were a little shorter, and were a bit more playful. So I started looking for an all-mountain board that I can trust will ride powder up to 1ft. I would keep the mullet just for deeper powder days, 1ft+.

Have been vary curious on the new camber/rocket boards and found some options that have a wide version.

    I am 6,1 ft, 185lbs, 12 boot size.

These are the ones I think might work:
    - Never Summer Legacy-R
    - Nitro Team Gullwing (although i heard some reviews referring to it as all mountain FREESTYLE??)
    - Lib Tech Travis Rice C2 banana power - Altough I am worried 26cm of waist width might not be wide enough.
    - Nidecker Megalight

Any other suggestions? How do they compare?

I will get one between 161 and 163

I really appreciate your input here.

    Thanks

Just buy whatever Shaun White rides and you'll have chicks, money and severe gayness.

Ok skuba, you're new here and you're a boarder. Two strikes right there. Inability to read and comprehend where specific material should go. Strike three.

Bumping your own thread, that was in the wrong place. Strike four.

    Rocket board??? Strike five.

Does is look like there are a lot of snowboarders on here talking about which jib stick is gonna rule the planet this week? Strike Six.

All of these fucking spatulas are made in China anyway. In the same fucking facktory and then spray painted a little different so it feels like you are making a choice about your life. Don't do it man. Back away from that slippery slope.

Better to just surf porn on the internet than try to get a tech questioned answered here. I did a little roulette for you and got a better answer.

Young, pink Tori stretch, bang, japanese. Got it?

And I am a snowboarder. Fuck. You are making us look stoopid. Like its not easy enough to do already.

Actually Skuba, the blame is all on you.

    1. if you had actually spent some time perusing TGR before posting you would have figured out the general vibe around here (i.e. everybody gives everybody else a ton of ishit).

    2. if you had actually spent some time perusing TGR before posting you would have figured out that your query would have been best served if posted here: [ame="https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=8"]Tech Talk - Teton Gravity Research Forums[/ame]

    3. if you had actually spent some time perusing TGR before posting you would have possibly read this: [ame="https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85182"]Roolz - Teton Gravity Research Forums[/ame]

    4. you might have noticed that I keep repeating the phrase "if you had actually spent some time perusing TGR..." the reason being is that it's pretty damn customary/normal/good manners/logical/and just plain smart to actually get to know something about a community before you attempt to join it.

To wrap things up, if you'd bothered to have done your homework folks wouldn't be harshing your mellow so badly.

    PS:

have you even considered demoing the boards you have on your short-list? that would be the first thing I'd do before posting for advice on a message board. Get out there and ride the boards. Reading about how a board rides is totally different than actually riding it. Not to mention that everybody has different tastes in equipment. I could tell you that I love Board X and then you get on it and hate it. So, my friendly advice is twofold:

    1. learn about the nuances and character of a message board before you blindly post on it.

    2. get out and demo some of the boards on your list.

Then go piss in their sandbox.

This is the sandbox for posting up stoke about skiing and .......you guessed it - snowboarding. If you have technical questions go to Tech Talk.

If you have stoke then post it here. It's rill simple. We have an organization to the forums so you don't have every Tom, Dick and Burton dropping in here on the main forum to ask which flippy flier is better for under one foot of powder.

I would not trust any snowboard with less than one foot of powder, but that's just me.

I don't care. Just like you don't care that you obviously posted in the wrong spot. Read more. Post less. Hang out a bit before you start asking questions. Don't compare this place to your gay snowboarding sites and you might be all right. Of course they are being nice they want to suck your dick.
    I don't.
If you post in the right spot you might actually get some reasonable responses.

Did you report me too? I have never been banned before.... but I don't think you have the juice to do it.

Oh yeah harden the fuck up....

yes, i made a mistake in regards to which board to post it
moderator, should have moved the post

anyway, the harsh, rude, fucking stupids, comments are still uncalled for...

if a person comes to you on the street and asks:
    - do you know where is the bank?
    do you respond
    - what's up with you fucking moron, if you had looked around a bit more, would see the bank sign over there on the corner. What are you dumb?

no you don't do that, because you have morals and values, and it's harder to deny them when you are looking face to face.

But here, where you can all hide behind a stupid username, you can let it free and be as stupid as possible

Guys, I ran a snowboarding website in another country, i have done everything built the site, the forum, post articles, pictures, videos, etc...

I do all that to help other people entering the sport. And my site is the biggest in that country, and I receive emails and messages of gratitude.

I see all the time posts on the wrong boards, and I just go and move them to where they should be. People joke around in the boards, but I have never seen this attitude here.

^using false analogies ain't gonna help your cause any, buddy
(i.e. a person asking for directions on the street ain't the same as you posting a thread in the wrong section of a message board community).

it all boils down to being observant. i'm not gonna stop you on the street and ask where the bank is until i've looked around to make sure i'm not standing on the opposite corner from the bank. likewise, you probably should have taken the time to observe the goings on around here before blindly posting. it's called "common sense", something that way too many folks these days seem to be lacking.

    but again, i digress.

instead of continuing to post in this now ludicrous thread (and further fueling the fire with your whining), why don't you set about finding out where you can demo some of those boards on your short-list and then actually go out and ride?

Don't accuse me of stuff that you don't know.
In fact I called someone a fucktard in real life the other day. They were alarmed. Then they laughed. It is a funny word when you think about it.

Yeah they could have moved the post, but then they would miss out on all the hazing of the FNG. Part of being on TGR is you have to prove you are not a complete dumbass all the time before anyone will want to help you out.

There are lots of great folks on here. They have given me many laughs. I have bought and sold and been completely bro'ed out by people across the country that I have almost no chance of meeting. That's the community. It's a large one too. And people come on here constantly trying to sell shit and asking questions without looking around first to see if it fits.

Give more, take less. Engage brain. Disengage keyboard.

If you ran the biggest website on snowboarding in another country then surely they would have some input on rocker boards and all mountain boards. Why you would to ask a bunch of skier dentists about rockered snowboards is beyond me?

    Can I use that?

Do you goto a nudist colony, then get upset that everyone is naked and tell them to put clothes on?

    No.

As wrong or right as it might be, that's their culture, deal with it, get naked, or get out.

Giving people a ton of shit for fuck ups is how things roll around here. Happens to everyone, and at the end of the day, most of us still meet up for a beer. Deal with it, or GTFO... Don't bitch and complain that everyone's calling you out.

Hi skuba! Had enough of this rude and childish treatment? I bet you have! I would like to take this opportunity to formally invite you (as well as the lurkers and non-lurkers alike)to come join our fun-loving but responsible bunch of snowriding aficionados who know the benefits of what good moderation brings to an on-line community. I think most all of you will find that our seasoned moderators "keep the bar high" by maintaining a sense of order and decorum, while encouraging quality discussion about our favorite pastime. It may take a small amount of getting used to, as we do have reasonable standards as far as language and image posting that are strictly enforced. The registration is easy and painless, and the rules will be explained in detail during the process. If you are tired of the juvenile goings-on at TGR, all I can say is: "Come join the fun"!

Hi skuba. So sorry to hear of your anger problem and violent tendency. It shame that people here get mad at you after make such a nice blog. You must try to practice compassion instead. I highly recomend anything by Burton or K2. Best freeride boards out there. Or maybe try...
