What horrible news. RIP CR. Unreal. Immersion is my all time favorite flick (thanks huck), and my favorite segment in any ski movie was of CR and JT on their dawn patrol. Anytime I'm down I throw it in, and watch it over and over again. I'll be watching it tonight in CR's honor.

I'm so out of touch! Never met CR but have probably seen footy of him. Always a reality check when one of the top in their field makes a mistake that costs them so dearly.
    Condolences to friends and family.

    Words seem hollow, but....

My abiding memory of CR is the grinning 15-year-old in 1999.

Too young to die, and definitely too young to die twice.

So sorry to hear about this. My condolences to his family and all of his friends. I didn't know CR but it was always easy to tell that he skied for all of the right reasons and had the raw talent that really only a very select few have. You always knew that ripping lines at Squaw was his skiing center, even when he was storming the competition world and had all of the trips/perks associated with being a phenom. My heart goes out to you Scott, and all of the other ski partners of CR's(JT, etc.). I recall reading(I think in a SLC newspaper) while CR was injured in the hospital here in SLC, how tight his family was. It was truly inspirational to read about the way his family tackled such adversity with so much love. RIP CR.

I can't contribute anything here but vibes. This is too close to home for me geographically, but I think too close for all of us in spirit. Major vibes, CR & family/friends. Peace out.

It's always terrible to see one of the greats go. Especially after going through all that CR already had. We are fragile beings, and the mountain is unforgiving. Stay safe everyone.

I work events and our main focus is safety for the athletes...knowing that these guys are pushing the limits of competition every run puts me on edge constantly...it's so surprising and sad to hear news like this- riders continuing to do what they love- in the realm of competion or leisure- and paying the ultimate price, at the slightest hint of hesitation, indecision, accident, or mistake. it could happen to any of us- but we continue to do what we love to do. This is the heart of sport. RIP CR.

CR always seemed like such a great guy. He was an inspiration for so many people. I'm thankful his friends and family and the rest of the world got a few extra years with him before he passed on.

I'd wager he experienced more joy, exhilaration, camaraderie, and love than most who die at three times his age. We appreciated your contribution CR...

Man. What an inspiring guy and although I didn't know him personally or anything, he came across as a really genuine, passionate, and humble person.

This is a great loss and I feel for his family, friends, and those whom he affected in life. You are missed. Be at peace. You lived life fully and showed many the definition of strength and determination.

    Peace, Respect, and good bye.
