16" three day storm, but the top of mountain never opened until today.
5th chair (got lucky as I showed up late).
Excellent day.
I still regret selling my pair of light and soft pures to a maggot in AK (that was before Splat got the fiberglass allergy).
But they are having adventures. In search of the elusive artic powder weasel ...

1/2 day Lhasa Fat
1/2 day Kusala
Good day.
Damn those Kusalas are like magic in the trees.
Charged some tight, steep, thankfully deep lines spiced with some small drops with no room for error (well not much).

Was just trying to explain the magic in these skis to my four-year-old today on the lift. He thinks they are 186 years old.

What would a lhasa loving mag do...
Few years back, I broke one of my beloved green 186s. Shed hooked me up with a single he had lying around. My remaining good single weighs 1860g, the replacement single weighs 1920g.
-Is that weight different enough that these are different construction and won't pair well?
-As a potentially mismatched pair, better suited for inbounds or touring duty? I have other skis to cover all bases but I just long for a day or two a season back on my lhasas.

I have 3 or 4 different greens blems and a black a couple unmounted a few with 1
most of em are fairly stiff
ifin I had a scale id weigh em for ya
take a couple pictures of the base and sidewalls and id take em to work and weigh em or I bets sfotex has one
and try and swap ya out or just give ya 1

Wooly Mammoth in JH just bought my embarrassingly minty 191's. I found a 1/8" delam in one tail insert so knocked a few bucks off. Hope they rip for him!

Another season underway on the Lhasas. I suspect I’ll end up with over ten seasons on them as my one-ski quiver.

Im not sure what Splat did edges/bases@, but I say give 'em the old 1*/ on2*.
That's what run mine at.
And I just mounted up some kind green 191 Lhasa Pow Pures from the last pressing, thank detrusor for passing them on to me.
I've got two pairs of Fats which I dearly love, but this is the first time I've been on the OG "skinny".
Four days on them and no surprise, I love that sidecut regardless of width.
They're stiff/medium stiff underfoot, more compliant shovel, pretty flat ~1mm camber.
Crush steep, above treeline bowls and chutes.
Love the trees, easy to link blind turns.
Flex and spring back and forth on bumps and groomers.
Pretty good at crud crushing (it's fairly light).
Good float; carries speed well on low angle meadows.
Seems to be an ideal travel ski.
Got it drilled once, Pivot for my BSL, think I'll eventually put in a CAST 2.0.
Splat you are a genius!

I’ve gone back to my hybrids, love that ski. The pure was a little to rattling. If anyone is holding a pair of 191 in primo condition let me know.

I admit my ignorance, though I recognize the handle.
Fill me in on history.
Was he the French intern / rocket scientist that designed the Kusala & Bya?
(At least as I understood it).
I love pechelman!
PS On my trip up to Jackson Hole (which has been off the hook; 2' of blower on the repress of the Kusala) I was skiing the lime green Lhasas and some guy recognized them and asked me if Bro Skis was back in business.
I told him sadly no.
