Happy to see this! Glad to see that things are sorting out Splat!
Love my 191 Fats and my 183 Bros! Pissed that when I got my Fats, I gave my 191 Lhasa hybrids to a friend and have regretted it ever since. Would love some hybrid Byas. I need more skis like I need trench foot or the clap, but for skis that are this much fun, I say, why not?

I've seen this pair, and they are sweet. More rocker than the pair of Kusalas I picked up the end of last season, but I think my pair is unusually flat compared to others like this: https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/a...9&d=1444674256

    Lhasa Pow Stoke

I thought my 186 kusalhasas were pretty flat till I went into the tight trees off 12 at mammoth and smoked my buddy on his 173 shiros.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Splat, I have regretted selling my pair on gear swap for years. If you do any 191's especially FATs, let me know.

Due to a time waster these skis are still available.

The Vashon shitshow got settled. I have molds for the 186 and 191 Lhasas, the 184 Byas and almost everything needed for a mix of 50 pairs of those skis. I'll prolly find someone to hire or find a way to get them pressed as hybrids. The carbons are just too hard for people to grasp the intricacies of the construction. Perhaps a minor resurrection can happen at some point this season. The Byas are stone cold killers. I skied them the last two seasons and just fukkin loved them.

Kinda funny to see this thread. Captain Powder sent me an email today in response to a mail I sent him in 2006 asking for feedback on the Lhasa Pow topsheets. md9 so did the best of jobs on those. Thanks, Jared.

These came into my life today thanks to a kick ass mag. Stupid cheap for minty sticks. If these things ski as half as awesome as the build quality and design suggests, I'm going to be throwing benjamins at splat for a backup pair. Thanks for making beautiful skis and sharing them with us.

Plan for these (one prior mount) is SollyFit plates w/ STH16/Rads. To be mounted up with good beer this fall weekend. Pow touring ski to compliment the Yetis, and double-duty ski inbounds pow/touring ski for MCP trips and other general dirtbaggery.

The real question is will I even want to ski my OG Bibbys after these...

The Lhasa Pow is the ideal ski for an early season dusting on wind buff with a few chocolate chips thrown in.

There's no line melted into the top sheet? Run you finger down the side of the top sheet and you can probably feel it.

Colorado continues to be hot AF.

At least there were some new (to me) sticks to mount.

Photographic proof that mags fucking rule. Where else could you end up with this whole setup for a hair over $500?

    A good fucking mag -- RustyGroomer .

It's topsheet is in better condition than its base. Got some metal grip into the big holes today, will probably do a light grind before it needs to be brought into service.

Pulled a binding out of my 191s with white top sheets. Anyone selling or have a comparable ski (feel, dimensions and weight) to recommend?

Got the Lhasas out for their first hut trip / AIARE class. Killer conditions, 4-8" of blower on top of nicely consolidated snow pack. Decent stability meant we actually got to get over 30-degrees a few times.

Real mind blower was this sunday though skiing them inbounds in 6" of wind-affected stuff. Handle chop well (not as willing to go fast as Bibby's and a little more to adjust to hardpack). But in the trees and bumpy stuff, absolutely killer. Not sure what makes them so easy to get sideways -- the pintail? Or maybe I just suck less than I used to.

    Hut trip stoke:

Lhasa's loving the Alps. Can't figure out why no one is skiing the good stuff, but hey, whatever.

Been saving these for the last 5 years. Finally got them out for their maiden voyage on 4 inches new on top of packed powder. So slarvy through the soft stuff, charged through the left overs, and railed GS turns on the groomers.
