That 112RP fills the gap nicely between the Wailer and the Lotus. If stiffer than an S7, that's going to be a potentially HUGE ski for places like Whistler where the S7 dominates even though most local riders find it too soft. Voila ..

Sick, I think I'm gonna sell my 120s for these instead. Seems like a better match for me.

Boner inducing
Didn't get but a few runs on em in marginal conditions but pretty much hit a homerun w/ these.
Damn glad to meet ya Marshall sorry had to bail and didn't get a chance to ski with ya more.
Doing all I can to get a pair of these w/ demo clamps here in the Wasatch for further testing

skifishbum are those 120s?
^^^i would imagine they are the new yellow 112RPs. STOOP.
Perhaps you'd be more comfortable on epicski or Paula's Ski Lovers, AltaNancy.
That's what I am asking about...
The RP won't make it to the demotour crew in time for the WA demos but it'll definitely be at Riders Weekend (along with another 30 pairs of DPS Skis mounted up for free demos.) More info re: Riders Weekend: http://bit.ly/c8FoAt.
I got to rip some laps on the RPs over the last couple of days...all I can say is that you have to try it for yourself. Incredible ski.
indeed, that is the RP above.
It's the center point of your quiver.
The sidecut is great on that shape. It actually makes it really fun at the resort- not the typical mandatory slide-fest that wider, straighter, wider shapes are. You can hook this ski up and ride the sidecut and actually pull g's and round clean carves on the groomed- and at 112 underfoot there is no bootout.
While dynamic and HP while on edge, the Wailer 112 RP is also very friendly when off edge, and the sidecut isn't a hindrance. With the rocker design providing a loose tail, it is incredibly balanced and slides beautifully- massive powerslides are easy and very controlled- going sideways at 30 mph isn't a battle of fore/aft balance, rather a stable ride on the ball of your foot... It's the best of both worlds in that sense.
these look sexy but i still believe the 120s are a far superior SKI
they all have their place... the 112 is certainly not a 120 replacement or vice versa- it all depends what you want out of a shape.
Again, the RP112 looks like a lot of fun. But after skiing the Super 7s, I think you could go wider under foot and use a bit longer turn radius and not lose any of the carving performance. The Super 7s are a riot on groomers, but something lighter sure would be nice. Plus the yellow is just plain hot
"I dont hike.... my legs are too heavy"
Looks like a lot of rocker for a resort ski (more than an S7) and a whole lot
more than an Lhasa Pow, which I find perfect for soft groomers or 2-4 inch days.
Curious why so much.
Life of a repo man is always intense.
that's what I said. The rocker tip is stiff though and on the groomer they really didn't flap at speed. I wish I got a chance to take them into the trees where the confusing private property ropes and signs. Doublet good to meet you too.
What's going on with coreupt copying your topsheet design and colors Skied up to their booth and tried to give them your skis by mistake.

Got a run on these and they were fine on the groomers and great through little bit of trees I got them into. Probably better as an everyday resort ski than the 190 bibbys I am currently on.
"College sailing isn't about who wins the most races, its about who can stand in the morning"
I got a couple of solid days in Engelberg with them last week. The flex pattern, width, and shaping make it beautifully versatile.
Obviously, take it with a grain of salt, but the groomer performance on these guys is pretty ridiculous. With the torsional stiffness of the Pure, you can ride the edge in fully g-loaded, railed carves. With the rockered tip and tail you can also let go off the edge and launch into controlled high speed powerslides- so fun. They are speed and confidence inspiring. At 112, there is no boot out either at high edge angles- super nice.
The versatility and fun factor continues in soft snow- very surfable and planable for 112 underfoot. the rocker and tip let's you drive from the ball of the foot.
You do give up a bit of straight line stability in the deep compared to the bigger/straighter lotuses with the cut, but you get that back in fun and playfulness... it initiates instantaneously.
This ski is going to have a ton of people uber stoked as the center piece of their quiver.
When i check a photo or Wideo of a ski working in soft snow, i am looking for surfing tips and a reeling line of spray coming off the downhill ski- that means the ski is planning effectively- and the RP does that... great success.

are there going to be demos available anywhere in europe this year?
stephan, I dream of the 112 almost every night. But sometimes the dream turns into a nightmare when I think about the size. here in verbier, a resort ski should frequently manage skiers' made moguls, and a 190 ski, for an old gaper of my size, is too much.... sooooo, no hope for a 180-something size?
to keep the dream alive, there is a 178cm and 168cm that will be available for fall delivery. The 190cm in Pure is so easy to ski- after all, with tip and tail rocker, the effective edge is short.
The ski looks awesome, but just one thought: why are you putting it in the Wailer series? To me, Wailer means a great backcountry ski that can also handle variable conditions.
This "resort pow" business is something else, and should probable be branded as such.
Dwell not upon thy weariness; thy strength shall be according to the measure of thy desire.
you mean the rocker in the tail? it is pretty low and not deep into the ski compared to alot of stuff.
i noticed no ollie effect off some 30ft airs, nor high speed 10s and 20s.
do the 112's have the new SS technology in their construction? I love my 120's but miss the damp feel of metal in resort conditions. That shape with the ski feel of my XXL's would be heaven.
