TR: Goating - Ski Touring with your goat (in your backyard)

As with all my TR's, a little set-up is in order.

‘Twas a glorious Christmas season. New York was non-stop:

    (conservative)

    (ready to go)

After an action-packed three weeks in the city, with a Christmas party just about every night, it was time to head to the country.

    Stratton, pre-Christmas, wasn’t bad:

The Christmas lights were set up with care:

    And winter festivities abound:

    A glorious Christmas sunset:

    And Christmas moon:

    And winter fun!

Winter fun….with a very special friend…(my brother is about to bite it, by the way)

…which brings me to my main topic:

    GOATING [Goht –ing]

    -noun
The act of a person ski touring with a goat

In this case, touring in my backyard with my goat. I was eager to test out my new 190 Bibby’s. No better way to do so than with my loyal goat. (Goat checking out the foreign objects)

    Out into the wilderness:

    Please don’t eat the pinetree

    Come little goat

    Spooky graveyard

Epic powder turns down a near vertical face

    Back to the barnyard…

    Wait – we’re supposed to keep moving…

    Home sweet home.

Time to head into the trails in our woods, sans goat

    Sick

    More pow turns

    Under the fallen trees

On another, warmer day, I headed out with the goat again - this time he was galloping behind me (bad iphone photo):

Some epic turns behind my house:

Ok, well that ends my story. Thanks for viewing. Off to LCC now. Bye.

holy galloping goat! Never knew there was so much skiing going on in/around the Big Apple.
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

    ^^totally agree.

also, your goat looks very well suited to winter conditions, as by far not all goats are!

we used have a little pygmy goat. poor bastard had nuts the size of grapefruits and didn't have girly goats to lighten his load with.

he'd try and screw the cows and they'd kick the shit out him! he'd limp around for a week or two and then he'd be right back at it!
