    snowboard vs ski length

    oh hey guys. how is everyone doing? i'm new here, obvi. i'm from the praries where we have a 500 foot vertical hill we call a resort. i need to get out of here.

    i was wondering today why (on average) people ride ski's longer than snowboards? it dawned on me when i was watching the trailer for deeper, and they ride like 160's for splitboards. and your average ski is around 170 right? is it just because of less surface area? i dunno. discuss.

    My opinion is bigger is better, better control, better float... etc. I ride a two hundred snowboatd and 189 teles and wouldnt ride anything amaller than a 180 for either dicipline.

    and a guys gotta say hes got at least one huge stick right?
